to go to Step. Would rather be going back to bed :rotfl:
Mr F returned last night - tired and grumpy. Nothing a meal, a beer and a bit of pampering couldn't sort out though.
MS:- an hour's admin work
- Waitr0$£ delivered. Free pitta bread, spring onions, baby corn & sugar snap peas and grapes today :T They couldn't provide a couple of items this time though so I'll have to pop to the C0-0p at some point. A little over budget this week, I think because of all the missing items last time
- missed one night of slug hunting resulting in the devastation of the Pak Choi seedlings  so it was out with the torch again last night. The second batch of lettuce will be ready soon and I picked the very first of the cherry tomatoes yesterday. Looks like there will be lots of tomatoes this year. I've heard you can get slug pellets that are ok for organic gardens and don't affect hedgehogs and birds. Will look out for those.
Friday!!!

Hi Fortune, you really want to try and encourage a hedgehog to take up residence in your garden. I have one living in the hog house I bought, and my garden is slug freeMortgage Free November 2018

Hi Beckyy. I'm not doing too badly in the garden (for a beginner). The slugs don't seem to be too interested in my salad. Might be because it was quite established by the time they arrived. They seem more interested in the seedlings.

I would love, love, love a hedgehog Staffordia. Did have 2 once - for 1 night. I found a baby hedgehog stumbling down the road one November and took him to a rescue centre. He spent the winter there and they gave him back to me the following Spring, with a friend, to release in the garden. They took up residence under the shed for one night and then did a runner!
I'll put a hedgehog house on my Christmas list but, in the meantime, looks like I'll be doing the job myself :rotfl:

We have a hedgehog living under our shed :T
Unfortunately, it then goes under the fence and eats the slugs in my neighbour's garden... :rotfl:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

I would like a little hedgehog family
Also, looking at building a little bug box at the bottom of the garden, however I'm not too sure whether this would just provide some type of McDonald's stylee drive-thru for the many, many birds that frequent my garden for food as it is!February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

My neighbour built a bug hotel at the bottom of his garden (aka a 5 foot stack of small branches, twigs etc) - my gorgeous little Miss F (RIP) used to jump over the fence and lay eggs on the top of it :rotfl:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
