an NSD yesterday :T I'm going to need a few more of those if I'm going to make up for my recent spending.
Other MS:- found 20p in Mr F's change dish yesterday after he'd gone to work. I think he may have left it there for me :A It's in Mr Marmite now!
- housework still going to plan. The weather's already glorious here so another load of washing will be going out on the line today. Mr F is out doing 4x4 stuff tomorrow so I'll catch up on the ironing then
- a couple of hour's admin work achieved
- Teriyaki fish with Noodles and Pak Choi for supper last night from the meal plan
Enjoy the sunshine everybody

However, I wish I had bought it rather than the cheapo ones I bought in M&S instead. They're ok but not the most flattering fit so have been relegated to bumming around the house gear already. False economy
When we first moved into the house we said we wouldn't buy any pictures or ornaments but collect these on our travels together. These are the first pictures we've bought and, you're right, they'll always remind us of the lovely time we had. After I bought one of the pictures the artist confessed that he uses any profits to help feed the children in his village. He is an ex-pat and lives off his pension. Painting is a hobby for him and, as unemployment is currently at 17% on the island, he knows a lot of people who need a bit of extra help right now.

A friend called yesterday to ask if she could pop round. She bought a bottle of bubbly and the makings of a cream tea so we sat in the sunshine in the garden and indulged
Can't think of a better way to spend a Friday afternoon.
I did get some chores done beforehand:- one last load of washing out on the line which means I have finally caught up on the washing front (ironing is planned for today)
- wine was delivered so the rack is looking lovely and full
- Waitr0$£ delivered - free avocado, strawberries and chipolatas due to the short sell by date. £16.76 under budget
- two waterings of the garden today and a bit of weeding. My butler sink veg isn't growing as it should and my friend thinks the drainage is too good so I'll be watering those more often. The Savoy cabbage in the raised bed is looking huge! Not sure a glut of cabbage is a great thing to have in the Fortunate household though
- baked a Madeira cake for friend's visit. It's the first time I've made one and it came out quite well. Half is in the freezer to include in Mr F's packed lunches
- friend gave me back some money she owed me - £27.50. That's part of this month's entertainment budget so I've hidden it in the Forgotten Pot (where I put allocated cash so it doesn't risk getting spent out of my purse)
Have a wonderful, sunny weekend all

and a productive one for the Fortunate household. Had a lovely time at the BBQ and no hangovers this morning :T although we probably deserved them. Mr F has spent all day in the garden mowing and trimming and sweeping and everything is looking lovely. And I have conquered the ironing - there isn't a single item left in the ironing basket :A Just had Herby Salmon & Cous Cous Parcels from the meal plan for supper and am thinking about finishing off the last dribbles of the Prosecco from Friday. Mr F has a very early start tomorrow so it's an early night for us tonight.
Hope your weekend has been fabulous

Up at 5.00 am this morning to see Mr F off to work. He's away now until Friday so I'll be able to catch up on some sleep the rest of the week.
Plan for the day:- admin work this morning
- DC is arriving at lunchtime and we've decided to pop out to one of the villages for lunch and a mooch. I haven't seen her since she got back from working abroad so we'll have a lot to catch up on. Must see if there are any restaurant vouchers going
- prep for tomorrow's office day
- oh, and an early night.
We've been invited to join some friends for a holiday in Greece in October but will probably decline. It looks as though we'll be on our own this year for Christmas so want to save our money for some treats then.
Looks like another sunny day today - enjoy.

A full day in the office yesterday plus I stayed on to do a couple of hour's admin work after. Gradually working my way through the tasks on my list.
Other MS:- counted the cost of a lovely day out with the DCs on Monday - £33 . Parking, lunch and the makings of afternoon tea for when we got back to the house
- removed several cheeky little caterpillars from my giant Savoy Cabbages. They were tiny but it's amazing how much damage they do
- looks like the spinach I put in has started to germinate
- found 15p in the bottom of my purse to feed Mr Marmite
- did the budgeting for August - I seem to get earlier each month with this. Lots of expense coming up - tax on one of the Landys, up front line rental for BT and it's a long month. There should still be a little left over for savings though. The savings are growing so slowly, largely due to our holiday this year plus there's always a lot going on socially in the summer months. Time to re-balance the loaves and lilies I think.
Have a great day

Hi Brizzle. 0cad0 are a separate company to Waitr0$£ although they do stock Waitr0$£ goods. The shopping comes from their large, central warehouses. Waitr0$£ do their own deliveries from local stores (mine comes from T£nt£rd£n). You order through the main Waitr0$£ website though.
Waitr0$£ works for me because:- it's free delivery on orders over £50
- if they can't give you more than 2 days shelf life you get the products free
- if they substitute products you only pay the lower price even if the substituted goods cost more
- you can leave notes for your picker on each item eg "very ripe bananas please" or "substitute for non-organic if necessary"
- you get local store service although this does mean the choice of goods can be limited sometimes
- for my shopping, it works out cheaper than T£$c0, $ain$bury$ or the C0-0p but I do buy a lot of organic produce. There aren't any L1dl or Ald1 stores near me. I used to use 0cad0 but the service was dire.
There's a fab offer on at Waitr0$£ at the moment where you get a total of £75 off your first 5 on-line grocery shops. I did this when I first started shopping with them and it was really worthwhile. If you sign up as a My Waitr0$£ member you get special deals and vouchers from time to time.
I'd definitely recommend them but I think it really does depend on your shopping habits and basket if it's MS.
Spinach is sprouting :T
