I think I might have got my focus back today. MS efforts:
- sent Mr F off to work with yesterday's left over Halloumi & Puy Lentil Salad with Pitta for his lunch (it did for my lunch too)
- went to Step - I swear it's getting harder each time
- popped into the office on the way home (saving fuel) and dropped off 2 claim forms - one for my usual work and one for May's office cover day. Got my new hourly rate through so a few extra pounds this time
- went to have a quick look at across-the-lane-neighbour's new vegetable garden. We have agreed to swop some seedlings when they need thinning
- costumes for Saturday's dinner party arrived - very cool
- did the Waitr0$£ shop. Managed to shave some pounds off as Mr F doesn't need a packed lunch 3 days this week and we'll be off on holiday Monday :T
- Asparagus Risotto from the meal plan for supper tonight
I've a little more admin work to get through this evening and then an early night. I've been brave and downgraded the duvet to a summer (ish) weight. As I'm still taking a hot water bottle to bed I don't know if this was a good move but Mr F insisted. Wish me luck.

Thanks LauraJo. I love free stuff - I get ridiculously excited when I get free stuff in my food shop! The veg patch is surviving. I am trialling a new slug barrier which seems to be doing the job - smells like horse poo though!brizzledfw wrote: »Fab news on the musical and also on the veggies...we have bought rainbow chard seed too..need to plant it out ( only bought yest) but very exciting!
Brilliant! We'll be able to swop recipes. I used to grow chard for the chickens but only used it in a recipe once. It was easy to grow and the slugs didn't seem to bother with it. Keeps growing for ages too.

More spending than saving yesterday I'm afraid:
- went to the office for a meeting so an hour earned
- a trip to town to pick up the final holiday bits - ouch!
- bought a sandwich for lunch whilst out
- popped into the garden centre on the way home to pick up slug stuff - and one final flowering perennial for the container by the front door
- leftover Asparagus Risotto for supper last night
- claimed a £10 H0u$£ of Fra$er voucher from CP
- claimed a £10 J0hn Lewi$ voucher from VO
All is well on the veggie patch - I am being very diligent with the watering and it's making all the difference. We'll be able to start eating the lettuce soon.
Have a good Wednesday all.
