Today I have definitely turned the corner! So happy. I was coughing a lot yesterday and worried that I'd have that for weeks but today I seem to have kicked it. I am sure all the positive vibes from everyone have helped plus, I decanted the Christmas Pudding Vodka last night and had a little tipple. Purely for quality control purposes you understand but I think it may have medicinal qualities too :rotfl:Here's the recipe for everyone who asked http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/christmas_pudding_vodka_45343
I'm so pleased I got a head start on the Christmas preparations this year as I've now lost two weeks to Jury Service and another to tonsillitis. Today has been more productive though:- gave our bedroom and the small guest room a thorough clean
- finished the gloss work in the living room and prepped the areas in the hallway that need touching up
- put out the recycling for the Dustmen tomorrow. That's usually Mr F's job but he is now in Korea and not back until Friday
He did call me this morning though to say he'd arrived safely
- I'm planning to make Tomato, Red Pepper & Butternut Squash Soup for my supper and to freeze a portion. The new freezer is filling up nicely
Good health everyone

I still have a bit of a cough but it is gradually subsiding. Hoping that it will be completely gone by Friday when Mr F comes home and the boys arrive :j
Making progress though:- the house is half clean
- paintwork has been restored
- all the presents are wrapped
- even managed to make a Banana Cake to use up lots of sulky bananas
- the guys are coming to empty the septic tank tomorrow
The can't do the service at the same time so will come again in January for that
He's fine but missing home - can't wait to see him. Hump day tomorrow so not long to go now.
Take care all

So sweet that Mr F is missing home
I don't think he's missing home that much Beanie - according to his FB updates he's reliving his youth. Apparently there's a strong drinking culture in Korea and Mr F is participating enthusiastically!Glad to hear you're feeling better and you've certainly got a lot done!

Hi Amy  When he's away for a while I miss him and when he's at home for a while I can't wait for another business trip :rotfl:

I feel as though I'm over the virus now but I just have the irritating tail end of the cough  I've ordered some Fi$h£man$ Friend with my shopping as menthol lozenges are supposed to help break the cycle. Here's hoping.
- more cleaning today. Just the kitchen and the bathroom to do now - I always leave them until the last minute as they get dirty again so quickly
- Chorizo & Chickpea Soup for lunch. I've been trying to continue eating healthily to help shift the virus
- Bean & Vegetable Stew for supper with dumplings. Should be some leftover for lunch tomorrow and enough for the freezer too
I'm having a sneaky snifter of Christmas Pudding Vodka - for it's medicinal purposes you understand
Night, night
