We are loving Mr F's new job. He doesn't have to get up until 7.30 when he's working from home and we can have breakfast at a leisurely pace too. Feels like the weekend.

Now the big monthly money shuffle is complete it's back to the little things:
    • Tillytidied the accounts
    • did some research on tumbledryers :o
    • a little housework
    • more bed related items have arrived including 2 new goose down pillows :D I've decided that Mr F and I are going to have those and our current ones can go in the small room
    • Mushroom Rarebit with Mash & Thyme Gravy from the meal plan for supper http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/420653/mushroom-rarebit-with-mash-and-thyme-gravy. Used thyme from the garden
I only use the tumble dryer for towels, sheets and the occasional emergency but I do use it year round. The one we have is about 20 years old, vented and in desperate need of a new hose. It still works ok but is very uneconomical because of its age and it's a pain having to put the hose out of the window every time. I think we might go for a Miele  - expensive but built to last for 20 years.

Or... the linen and curtains in our bedroom are looking very shabby. And the Honeysuckle design in Laura A$hl£y is beautiful...

I've just been reading something similar, but in reference to new generation household CH boilers. Apparently, we're not to be downhearted that modern boilers only have a life-expectancy of 12 years, rather than the 20 years that [STRIKE]old[/STRIKE] vintage boilers (sorry to ruin your fun with that one gally ;)), have, as we'd be unwittingly contributing to excess carbon emissions if we use outdated technology, and forgo the opportunity for the industry to flog us a replacement.................

So glad we've got 'experts' ready to *save* ourselves from ourselves at every turn......... :rotfl:

Oh I see Gally! I thought you were (quite rightly) teasing me about my non MS tendencies. Yes, said tumble drier most definitely has an internal light:smileyhea
