O.K so maybe you should update your debts list again so you can see what's what. Start making a plan with who you're going to pay and when.

They don't let you back in when you self exclude. My friend took her son round the casinos and he asked to be excluded.

You are right there will always be other places but start by limiting your opportunities.

    Hope this helps!

Yeah I did go the casino weekend and ask to be self excluded. But as for bookmakers it would take me all year to get round them all to do it. So i plan on staying out and away.. All my internet accounts are cancelled also. Thanks

I have, correction had a friend like you. It isn't just the money you take that hurts, it will hurt them seeing you go down this path. None of them will trust you with money, ever.

His parents passed away, he fluttered away his inheritance. His mum knew of his problems and left the house to him and his brother, his money was to remain in trust and could only be spent on the purchase of a house. He tried every way he could to get access to the money. I don't know the ins and outs but he found a way, but he had to have his brothers permission. His brother refused (in my friends interests) and he has since fallen out with him.

Sorry to be blunt but this is the truth. I know another ex friend. He was a very promising sportsman and performed for his country. He was kicked out of 3 top organisations where he was a very good salary plus bonuses over his debts. Last I heard he is a scaffolders labourer. So sad for the opportunities he has wasted.

Your primary concern right now is not the 3.5k to friends and family, it is to stop gambling. As others have said get help. If you admit your problems to your friends and family they will be relieved in the first instance and will probably accept a delay in being paid back.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

This is roughly how my credit file from Equifax reads.

Can anyone help me with this, Bear in mind i have buried my head in the sand for years, i have no chance of getting a house and things like that now.

    Loans Outstanding.

I am pretty sure the Derby and Liverpool one was for the same company.

I have heard things will go off my file in 6 years so the ones from 2007 should go off by next year if this is correct- any help or advice from people would be great..
Also the paydays loans don't seem to be on their..

Should i post this as a new thread?

First off there are 3 credit reference agencies -Experian, Equifax andCall Credit. Some organisations credit cards/banks will report to one or another, some will report to several I believe. Therefore 1 will not give you a true picture.
How do the debts on your credit file relate to the debts you know about? Do you know who all the debts on your credit file are to/for?
Defaults will fall off your file in 6 years, yes that is correct (although I make 6 years after 2007 to be 2013?). Companies have 6 years to take you to court I believe and once they have a court order they have 6 years to enforce it - bailiffs etc etc.
You will need to let the CAB/National Debtline/CCCS know about all your debts when you draw up your arrangement.
Um not sure what else you wanted to know?
    Best of Luck

P.S I should have said well done - it sounds like you have got off to a really good start. If you continue to stay away from the gambling and carry on with the money management as you are you will soon get things under control.

I would get yourself a new basic bank account and get any benefits/wages paid in there as soon as possible. Prioritise rent/bills like gas/electric, food etc and see what you have left to offer your creditors. Have you done this yet? A thorough budget called an SOA would help you see the situation more clearly - there is one you can fill out at makesenseofcards.com website and post it on here.
Secondly you need to consider something like a debt management plan - this is where you take what income you have 'spare' after your esentials are paid and split it between your creditors.
    Best of Luck
