Had an email today to say mine has been dispatched:j (I chose the cream one) - cant wait now:D bought the kettle to match from Argos with saved up Nectar points - so I'm looking at it as the two items for £99;)All power is from within and therefore under our control0

Toasted sandwich cage also available £7.50
Sorry can't post link
Plus other colours of the toaster are available too
I ordered the cream one - 2 yr guarantee, plus the fact you can replace parts on this toaster, swung it for me, we've got through 3 toasters in the last 2 yrs!0 -
I got my order cancelled after 2 days for the cream one, so ordered a black and a red one, to be sure of getting at least one of them - just picked up both in store
Think I'll keep the black, so the red's back to the shop tomorrow.0 -
Debenhams had a cream 4 slice one at £100 and 2 slice for I think £80 ish.
I considered getting one ,but decided to see if they had one online as there might be a discount code around somewhere .
They were much more expensive online so I'm guessing these might be cheap because they are display models (no more in stock).0 -
Sorry if this has been posted already.
John Lewis have lovely red dualit toasters
4 slice £78.50
2 slice £60
I'm not sure if these are inferior models as they seem to be much cheaper than the rest of the range.

They're the Dualit Lite models, assembled in China and rather different from the 'real' ones. OK, but not going to last anything like as long as the others.0 -

When our toaster packs in we will probably buy a Dualit. How will I be able to tell the difference between the Chinese one and the decent one?0 -

These are the original design:

And these are the cheaper ones:

I received my cream toaster yesterday and my verdict is that all the agonising was worth it! It really does make 'different' kind of toast... old fashioned kind of toast... if you like. It looks great, is fabulous quality and I am so happy I fought the angel on my shoulder and went with the devil.0

I found that comment particularly interesting as a long-time Dualit user.
I do agree (the toast is far nicer - less dried out, perhaps?) - but I always thought that was in my imagination. Perhaps I wasn't imagining it, then.........:)0
