Is this gold plated or something?0

I used to have a pink one it was gorgeous, they are well worth the money..I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0

Either that, or the toast that it makes must be 99 times tastier than shoving some bread under the grill.:p
Actually the toast does resemble the lovely taste & texture of grill toasting with one main difference .Leave toast in Dualit & it will keep it warm without popping up- leave toast under grill & you will have black toast & a very smokey kitchen :rotfl:0 -

Neither, really - though they do make excellent toast.
It's more to do with being prepared to pay the admittedly high price for a stylish industrial-grade toaster which will last indefinitely (because it's easily repairable), look right in your kitchen and keep its good looks for a lot longer than most of us will!
Yes, there are much cheaper toasters, but nothing else will look remotely as good, or last remotely as long as the original-style Dualit. Quality and design has a price, and it's a matter of choice whether you want to pay it or not.

I ordered mine from this offer (Thanks OP) on thursday afternoon, it was the cream one, I received a confirmation email to say they had received my order and when it would be delivered and nothing since, what does everyone think?, does it look good that I got the toaster? All power is from within and therefore under our control0

These are excellent toasters and definitely worth the money. I used to buy a lot of mid-range toasters but found they all had flaws....and would never go back now.0

Hughjass - I ordered a chrome one on Friday and my order status has just changed to "despatching soon" so hopefully yours has too.0

Great price, we have the four slice exclusive one from john lewis, which was £79, excellent value and a great toaster. Was fed up buying £20 ones for it to last a year then start to make dodgy onesided toast. So invested in it, very pleased.0
