practically everyone i know has an iphone and so has obviously said iphone, but i have had a play with both and have to say i much preferred the samsung - seemed more intuitive - i instinctively knew how to use it whereas with the iphone i kept having to ask what button to press next - which i wasn't expecting as i've read that samsung tends to be quite 'techie' and 'fiddly' (we have a samsung tv which def backs this up) whereas apple are obviously known for being instantly user-friendly and self-explanatory.
on balance i think i'm gonna go for the S3. (i'm not remotely interested in any of the tech stuff or ongoing wars between whoever and whoever- i'm basing this purely on my personal experience of the useability of the phone).
just need to decide now whether to sell my soul and tie myself into a contract for next 100 years to get a cheapie deal, or go giffgaff and keep my integrity!!
If I was you try both phones in a shop and see which one you like. If I was you I will try phones over a day or two, what looks good on the first day may not look that good in a day or two.
If you are thinking of running apps such as iplayer, Sky Go etc make sure your device can do that.
If you ask me I will wait at least until iPhone 5 is released just to see what is available.
In the end you will be using the phone for two years not posters here.0 -

The only problem with doing this is then you might want to wait and see what the next HTC or Samsung phone offers.0 -
GOODMAN >>> The app store are limited.
NOT TRUE
GOODMAN >>> Many apps on Android 4.0 do not work such as sky go.
Apps are not built for all platforms as you well know but your many apps do not work is just another of your biased lies .
GOODMAN >>> No flash support on Android 4.0 or above, older version may or may not work.
No flash for any phone soon so that's another mistruth . Flash works on Android 4-0 so more lies .IOS dont even allow Flash .
GOODMAN >>>
The os update is harder to get. May need to root or hack your phone or wait months for new os version.
Os update harder not so much now and OS is updated far more frequently than IOS .
You do not need to root or hack your phone to receive updates so yes one more lie .
Sorry despite your possible ??/ good intentions with some answers your reply proves that you are not objective have no intention of telling the truth and just intend to put users of Android by any means possible .
Jeez you even posted earlier in reply to a user asking do i need security for my IPhone >>> Android is full of malware . Note users is on an IPhone and all you do is knock Android . Why something else going on here it looks like you have an agenda to rubbish Android in these forums by all means possible . Your truths are vastly outweighed by the false information you publish in many posts . An attempt to balance out the IOS V Android is just a waste with all your twisted and fake facts and is in my view totally against what MSE stands for .
