Xbox live

Hi
In a nuthshell:
I bought 12 months xbox live on Ebay and got nothing.
Seller responded and usual insults traded back and forward.
Now seller has blocked me and posted
" i suggest you start your paypal and ebay case as you are not covered for digital goods, good luck, no-one tales to me like that, your banned, ive also emailed all xboxlive sellers to ban you as they all buy from me anyway. goodluck
"

In short - what can I do? Paid Paypal via credit card btw ...

Thx in advance.

Could be worth going for an eBay case on this one.

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/downloadable.html

I think that they still have to provide a hard copy.

Thanks but, from experience, pretty sure Ebay don't give a toss either way. I've sent him a police incident number due to insults, hehe ...

Any other thoughts clever people? Thx ...

Can I name him and shame him on here? Too early for -ve feedback but if he says he's blocked me anyway ...

    Well hopefully they do.

If the case is decided against you, then you can appeal.
This sometime results in a different decision, or a no fault refund. You may have to push them with phone calls etc.
PayPal may go along the lines of an intangible item (so I wouldn't use them).

Anyway, I would open a case - nothing lost nothing gained.

Buy the way. blocking you, does not stop you leaving feedback if that is what you meant.

Why would you not win a Paypal case if you never received delivery?

Paypal cases don't cover intangible goods, the OP sounds like it was a 'digital download' so not covered for buyer protection on Paypal.

I think I'm out of the loop on this one...*is* it normal to trade insults back and forth on eBay?

I would be phoning Ebay or Paypal about their statement on Ebay listings.

You're in safe hands when you shop on eBay.
In most cases, eBay transactions go through with no problems at all. But we've put safeguards in place to make sure that if anything does go wrong, you will get the item you wanted or your money refunded in full, including postage.

Well that's for starters - in MOST cases. Where does it say in ALL cases?

Paypal certainly make it very clear, that for buyer protection the item has to be tangible and fall into other criteria.

Ebay on the other hand is not so helpful, but then they don't act as your payment processor. They do have a strict policy on digital downloads and the OP may even find the sale should never been allowed to take place. If that is the case shouting at Ebay will null and void the sale, but this won't get the OP reimbursed.

    Tangible? Or physical?

I think an xbox live code is perfectly tangible - and they should be able to prove that they've provided it to OP.
