I'm gonna sound so fussy but I hate brown toast, can't stand coffee (even gone off tea again), I only like apples and raspberries and rhubarb crumble.

Mega fussy eater yea? I'm honestly not half as bad as I used to be. Or as fussy as my vegetarian OH (who doesn't like veg) Lol. I should eat wheetabix but don't make the time for breakfast. Perhaps I'll just try to drink more... and fruit juices?

you might have to google some food that contains fibre and choose what you like from there. lol.. lentils? erm...kidney beans? chillis? lol. def fruit juices will help esp try peach juice or pear juice too.

Believe me, once you've had the bubs, you'l be ramming everything down your neck, weetabix, fruit, veg, to make sure you don't get constipated. Worst thing ever... :rotfl: I seriously was eating everything to make you go and I still couldn't :(

I wasn't too bad, but if you are struggling the midwife will give you something for it :) They do advise you to eat things like weetabix and fruit/veg afterwards though, for energy and to help things along. You can end up constipated though, no idea why though. I wasn't on Iron or anything, well I was, but I didn't take it for that reason.

The day after I had DD (section) I had the runs! The painkillers they give you can do that. The midwife said it was probably the diclofenac that did it. Not nice when you have a section scar and terrible stomach cramps and can't get off the loo and your new baby is in your bay on their own at 5 am!

I had horrendous constipation after my section and was prescribed lactulose (which is vile!) Its horrible 'straining' to go with a new section scar, I remember sat on the loo crying not daring to push for fear of bursting my stitches!

And whatever you do if they give you iron tablets after the birth make sure they give you lactulose from the start, I was on iron tablets and codeine for 3 days before they gave me the lactulose. It wasn't nice.

I didn't get constipated after the birth. Steer clear of co-codamol - it's terrible for bunging you up. I was given paracetamol and voltarol (had a section) and I was fine with those.
