Midwife appoint was fine, he's still not going to be a big baby. He's only 39 cm on the FH measurement. Think other babies are more like 50cm.

Fundal height should be 1cm for week so 39cm would be right for 39 weeks. Some people do get as big as 50cm but I think most of those are normally multiple pregnancies. A fundal height of 39cm doesn't mean bubs will be 39cm long though as they are curled up in there. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Evening all,
Just back from antenatal - had a great time tonight since I was feeling back to my normal self, and the group seem to be bonding a lot more now the first week nerves are out of the way. The time flew by! We've got the breastfeeding session tomorrow, so will be able to have a good chat in the break now. We covered all sorts of interesting things due to some of the questions asked, and although I'm only having one baby, one of the ladies there is having twins so some of her experiences and questions are really interesting too. 3 ladies are rhesus negative too so that added another interesting discussion point. Feel really positive and full of energy now.
I'm fine now thanks Happy since getting over the fluey type bug I had last week and since the doctor has put me on a higher dosage of omeprazole to control my heartburn. I must remember to go and pick up the repeat prescription tomorrow! Memory is definitely going. lol So pleased to hear the you and your boys are getting on well.
Massive hugs to student_Mrs - maybe your DH is feeling insecure due to baby being on the way - I know I've been worrying about Moon leaving me etc which is very unlike me, and maybe he's feeling that there won't be enough love to go around and it's a way of reassuring himself by questioning you. Being someone who has suffered from depression in the past, I know that I find any periods of change very stressful, and have become rather controlling, and almost look out for things to worry about.
Found out the family I was meant to be childminding for don't need me next week, so I'll have a week off for my summer holidays before going back to the grindstone, so hopefully will be able to catch up on washing etc as I hear the weather is meant to get better next week. We're planning on going to Ikea on Sunday so will be able to get the furniture for the nursery, so as long as Moon is able to build it quickly, I'll be able to properly nest. :T
I must write a list of things that I still need to buy and try to track down a suitable bag for the hospital. Realised tonight that I need to get a lot more maternity pads, as apparently our hospital will only provide you with your first pad so if I run out, I'm screwed! I only have one pack at the moment. Also need to get some more breast pads as I seem to be using these up fairly quickly too. Oh and my pillow has gone extremely flat and isn't very supportive any more, so may get some new ones of these too, particularly as NCT teacher recommended taking our own pillow to the hospital with us.
Well I'd better get ready for bed and try to wind down a bit, as if I get a call for work at all tomorrow, I'm not going to be very awake as only managed about 10 minutes nap due to phonecalls and interruptions and kicking from Bean.
Hugs to all who need or want them, and labour vibes where appropriate.

Glad you enjoyed the class tonight SM, and glad the fluey bug has bogged off and left you. Have you thought about reusable breast pads? You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Yes have thought about them ikkle, but not sure if I'd be organised enough to make sure I wash them enough - finding it hard to keep on top of the washing of my limited amount of maternity clothes at the moment. Are there any particular ones you've come across that are good?Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

I've not used them myself but noticed a lot of people talking about them when little lambs had their sale the other week so wondered if they would benefit you if you are going through a lot of pads. I just look out for the offers on the disposable ones. I need more maternity pads too, I'm waiting for boots 342 to come back on xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

been at home now for an hour and happened a couple of more times and bump went hard- im not in major discomfort but enough to make me gasp - should i phone someone or just wait till my consultant appt tomorrow afternoon?love you lots like jelly tots0 -
NCT lady said when in doubt, phone the labour ward! The fact that you had so many pains in such a short period of time could indicate labour. Best of luck if it is!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Student_Mrs wrote: »Hi Due date buddy, good to see you!! I thought we were missing some August bubs! Im intrigued to know if we are having same sex too, but as I keep telling people I'm not going to trust the sonographer til it comes out as a boy, I wouldn't trust!
I'm good, much bigger bump than when I thought I'd never get one, we are moved so slowly arranging nursery and just generally wondering if we are ready for this! Also finding 3rd trimester harder, bump seems a lot more uncomfortable and this last week, hard a lot of the time.
I need to go to bed so will catch up properly tomorrow, but we have chosen a nursery and reserved a place for little man, eek! was going to PM you RJ, but hubby has an annoying habit of going for one of the first things we see...! I think it is right for us, I hope so. And fluff, Freddie is beautiful! Love that he is a waitrose baby already.
(((hugs))) and vibes where appropriate!! xx
Hi StudentMrs - sorry for late reply, we were away at the weekend.
Glad you are good and well organised, even chosen a nursery. I havent sorted that out yet. We have got most stuff but still need more bits, mainly smaller stuff.
How are your feet ? Mine have been quite swollen but bit better today.
Fluff - your baby is gorgeous and birth story nearly made me cry !!
Anyone found a good, easy birthplan template ? I have looked at lots but dont like most of them.
Hugs to all xxWe got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T0
