  • Hey sexymouse, we're due at the same time and I couldn't be feeling more differently to you. I haven't had any pains, cramps or BHs. So I reckon you're gonna have bubs early! You poor thing you've sounded pretty fed up in your last few posts. Fingers crossed it doesn't last much longer- 38 weeks tomorrow! Are you ready!?
I've got my csection a week on Monday and I STILL haven't packed my hospital bag OR sorted the nursery- it still needs painting! All I've got sorted is the Moses basket in our bedroom. Car seat isn't even fitted. I think I'm in denial.

Do you know what your blood pressure was? I've spent the majority of the day in hospital being monitored. Went to emergency docs with ear infection this morning and ended up being referred to hospital with high BP and protein in urine. Had tons of tests done and CTG and everything ok so luckily they sent me home. Have to have BP monitored on Mon, Tues, Weds next week though. Fingers crossed the sweep on Mon starts things off otherwise I may end up with an induction next week.

it was 176/95 when i was admitted, whilst being monitored went upto 195/114 but it went down to 156/85 on discharge.

Well I had a nap and ended up with the period-type cramping again that woke me up. It's still a dull ache at the moment - nothing measurable in terms of contractions or anything. It's definitely worse if I lay down though. It's making sleeping really tricky though. I told midwife about the pains at my appointment yesterday, and she said they sound normal. Was hoping to use the nap this afternoon to catch up on sleep, but it didn't work. Has anyone else been experiencing these cramping pains? They are just like really bad period pains.

Ive been having them for weeks now :( on and off for random days/hours and then nothing - although mine are with tightenings as well as the period ache,

Have you tried skipping the RLT, that can make it worse as its designed to tone the uterus it may be just irritating it ?

stupid DH> he is annying me. think this whole week i have not liked him :( i had such a nice day. i walked with him to his kung fu class, and then i went to the shops. then i chilled out and went shopping. got back and had a 2 hour driving lesson which tired me out as we went to check out my test centre and route and got back and started cooking the food that was defrosting.. i am so tired now and then by mistake i spilled some dinner on the sofa and DH went absolutely mad at me and i wanted to cry. :( i had a few tears but calmed myself down. idiot!

moneypuddle you are a day ahead of me, and I'm sure I'm a lot bigger than that! You look like you've got a lovely neat bump. Lately my baby has taken a liking to always being at the right side too, so my belly looks very strange at times! It keeps popping into a weird triangular shape when I stand up.

sexymouse definitely sending labour vibes your way, hope you're not left that uncomfortable for too long.

emweaver make sure you get in touch with the hospital if you keep feeling so bad, hope the dizziness passes soon. And congrats again on her arrival :)

bellola - glad you got home in the end and everything was ok. Fingers crossed the sweep works so you don't have to be monitored all week.

milliebob - I think you might actually be the one person on the whole thread who is less organised and ready than me! I didn't think it was possible for anybody to be as bad :rotfl:

Rups your DH is really being a pain lately, hugs. It sounds like he should be the one cooking the food if you've been busy and he's been at home. He needs to get it into his head that you're going to get tired and need his support.

It's still really hot here this evening, so I'm hoping it cools down soon or I'll be heading for a sleepless night.

thanks katyliz..oh he does make dinner to be fair and he knows am tired and need to rest but when he gets tired, he gets grumpy and then if i am around, it comes out.:(

he is being a pain. i just told him via text as his brother is here that he doesnt shout at him when he switched the freezer off or the tv when dh is taping something.. grr. when i do it by mistake, i get told off. so unfair. then he went and touched my popcorn packet and i refused to share it with him. then he was being all nice and stuff. aghh stupid man!! baby seems to like the popcorn though on a positive note, and i feel stuff. :)

  • Hey peeps :j Hope everyone has had a good day and been enjoying the lovely sunshine.

Sexymouse Sounds like maybe things are getting started for you? Hope that's the case, and you're not just suffering for nothing. Maybe the raspberry tea isn't helping though?

Moneypuddle glad to see you enjoyed the nct classes. I feel really disappointed that we didn't sign up now. I had looked them up, and was thinking about it, but at the time it just seemed too expensive :o It's a shame as I really would like to meet a few more people in the area who are in the same boat as us, especially as OH isn't from here and doesn't really know many people outside of work.

Katyliz if it makes you feel any better, I'm not ready either, not even close  Still haven't packed my hospital bag, nor finished sorting through what things we have / haven't got, nor sorted out all the heaps of junk in our room so that we can move the furniture round to put the moses basket in there etc. Oh well...

AFM, just tried to sit up to type this out, and could barely move. My back appears to have stopped working

Met a friend in town for lunch which was lovely, and bought some dark pj's from primarni to use in the hosp. Then when I got home about 5.30, it was still really sunny so I decided to mow the lawn and dig over the flower bed down the side, hung out 2 loads of washing and planted out 3 plants. Thinking now that maybe I should have done something a bit more useful...oops.

Sexymouse I've been getting pains, tightenings etc lately as well as baby having turned head down and engaged and lots of watery discharge. I always sleep on my tummy and this is nigh on impossible now so I don't hardly sleep unless it's sat up on the sofa and then the kitten lays on my shoulder for a snuggle lol.

I mentioned the pain to the consultant on Wednesday and she asked if they were regular, ie every hour, every half hour but mine are not, they are often but infrequent. She asked if I had been taking RLT and I haven't (mainly because I can't find anywhere that sells it) and she told me not to because some women are just much more sensitive to its effects than others so if I took it it could make my pains worse so I would maybe do as Mishka says and avoid them for a little while xx

    Hi everyone,

Hope you had a nice week last week. I was away (and no internet access) with my husband all week to see some relatives up north. We had a really nice time and everyone spoiled me :j.

God you've been so chatty this week! It took me all evening to catch up.

Congratulation to all the new mummies and welcome to all newbies.

Wednesday was my V-Day:j:j:j. Congratulation to everyone who had theirs this week. Ladies another 13 weeks and we are full term (37 is full term, right?). Also, what happened to the list?I was in top 80s for weeks and I didn't liked it, then in 70s group for 2 weeks and now I'm in the 50s group??? Don't complain as I want to be as closes to the date as possible but it seems as things are moving faster now. I know you all said this will happen after the 20 weeks scan but I didn't believe you:D. Need to start getting organised.

As for me, I had my nose stuffed all week :(. Don't know why but I couldn't sleep properly.

    Have a nice day ladies!
