Do you work in an eating disorder clinic or something? Everyone seems to be obsessed with food and eating and weight!

It seems that way doesn't it?

I think Romeo isn't very masculine, but that's just my feeling about it. I def couldn't get away with it LOL (my DD is called Juliet).

haha yes it feels like it. every stupid person is dieting and watching what they eat. I mean that is a good thing but this really slim girl (she is a size 6) keeps saying she needs to lose weight esp her belly. she is so slim you could break her and she thinks she is big. i must be a giant to her. people are mad here, i am telling u and are obsessed with food and size. so are my in laws. so whenever my MIL sees DH she always says he needs to lose weight. all he has is a belly. poor thing.

Do you not think the reason they keep going on about your size and your food etc is because they are insecure about their own weight etc? My granddad used to comment on my weight a lot till I said when you can practice what you preach then I will take your advice until then mind your own.

I used to have a very very unhealthy relationship with food, it took a lot of years of counselling and seeing a psychologist to make me have a better relationship and feeling towards it, I'm heavier than I would like to be and would like to lose weight hence rejoining slimming world but it's also a social thing to me. That's where I see the differences though between peoples attitudes towards food. A SW consultant and other members of the group know how to word things to you regarding what you eat, how much you weigh, what you lose than someone sat opposite you at work calling you a chubster or asking why your still eating something doesn't and are more likely to make you feel bad about yourself and less supported and possibly even more likelier to eat something.

Anyway your pregnant, your midwife will say if she thinks your gaining too much weight, but otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

Just remember when people make comments to you -
    1) If I wanted or valued your opinion I would ask for it
    2) If your so great why do you need to try put me down to make yourself feel better?

Made the terrible terrible mistake of weighing myself at boots as my scales at home doesnt work . i knew my weight when i started as i was going to the gym then ( trying to lose weight) to my shock discovered tt i have put just under 2 stones :eek:and i still got 7 weeks to go . Iam not stuffing my face type my portions have always been quiet normal so depressed now :(

    Do not dispair!!!

By the time you come to give birth, you'll be carrying quite a cargo! Just over a third of your extra weight will come from your baby, the placenta and the amniotic fluid. Here are some averages to give you an idea of how much they weigh:
    • At birth, a baby weighs about 3.3kg (7.3lb).
    • The placenta, which keeps your baby nourished, weighs 0.7kg (1.5lb).
    • The amniotic fluid, which supports and cushions your baby, weighs 0.8kg (1.8lb).
But what about the other two thirds of extra weight? These can be accounted for by the changes that happen to your body while you're pregnant. Again, the figures are averages:
    • The muscle layer of your uterus (womb) grows dramatically and weighs an extra 0.9kg (2lb).
    • Your blood volume increases and weighs an extra 1.2kg (2.6lb).
    • You have extra fluid in your body weighing about 1.2kg (2.6lb).
    • Your breasts weigh an extra 0.4kg (0.9lb).
    • You'll store fat, about 4kg (8.8lb), to give you energy for breastfeeding.
By the end of pregnancy you may weigh about 12.5kg (27.6lb) more than you did before you became pregnant. Remember that this is only an average weight gain. Let our pregnancy weight gain estimator work out your figures for you.

how bizzare! sometimes i cantg work out where the baby is lying lol. i feel pulses right underneath my belly button area and now i feel those weird bubbles type things down below. weird. lol

At 24 weeks bubs won't be in a fixed position hun, he can move all over, even do full body rolls inside you which I always thought felt really strange lol. As bubs gets bigger and things get even stronger you will start to work out where about they are either by twanging sensations down below or kicks in your ribcage and in my case I used to end up with bits of him sticking out like a bum shape near my belly button

I can't believe the Gabriel is #92 in England... I haven't ever met anybody called it!

Last years stats from ONS made Gabriel 75th but Gabriele only 6 people chose...

Still more popular than I thought though
