Congratulations Kayalana! What a lot of babies we've had this week!

My second attempt at a dress for FIL's wedding arrived today. It's the one from Phase 8 that Sa-ra-ra-ra recommended and it's lovely :) fits nicely now with plenty of fabric left at the front, so should still be ok in 7 weeks. Will take it home on Sunday and see if I can borrow some suitable accessories. It looks very glam without though could get away with my sparkly black shrug and some earrings if nothing better to borrow!

Kitten, glad they're taking some action, hope all goes well over the weekend and you're getting some mummy cuddles in not too long.

forgot to say congratulations to DJ, Vic Rich and LMM. Sorry I can't keep up with the thread! I'm very jealous of your mummy cuddles :)

RJH - I predict your baby will be here before Sunday, so don't worry it won't be long now. I'm almost never wrong about these things :D

My cousin is pregnant she's actually overdue now and her sisters fiance's grandma reckons she is psychic and normally she's pretty good. Anyway mushroom (the grandma) said my cousin would have her baby early and everyone took it as gospel, except I kept saying baby would be late and there would be less of a gap between mine and cousins baby than expected. She's due to be induced on Friday now.

Makes me chuckle how much they all relied on mushrooms word.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

    Yay Kayalana!

On another note, does anyone know what the latest date you can start your maternity leave is?? Is it your due date or can you work until the baby actually arrives??

The latest you can start your maternity leave is your due date, but if you were to have the baby early then maternity leave would automatically start on the day you gave birth xx

In my maternity policy it's the start of expected week of childbirth (which begins Sunday before your due date). I'm not sure if this is part of the SMP rules, or just my company though. I don't think I'd want to work so late though, I'm finishing at 36+3, 8 weeks to go tomorrow, and already struggling to concentrate for the whole day. Might just be me though ;)

izzydogsam - your midwife sounds a bit harsh I know it's hard and scary, we were saying earlier on here about how much we all worry and how it can be amplified by other peoples problems on here. Like you I never though I could have kids, my OH bought me 2 cats because we thought it would never happen. We TTC'd anyway and here we are - I'm still petrified things will go wrong but the joys of children mean your never going to stop worrying no matter how old they are.

Savage - think emsbet is just busy sewing lol. She's making lots of lovely things for her bubba. :)

Hmmm does that count as nesting? Wonder if we'll have another queue jumper if it does ;)
