How annoying is that? Some clear instruction would be nice within the NHS, or is that asking too much?:rotfl:

Tell me about it! I don't think they know themselves to be honest. She said 'better not, just to be on the safe side, but you can have paracetamol'. Yeah cheers for that, I wouldn't be asking if I can have a hot water bottle if paracetamol had done the trick! :rotfl:

I also think they should change their script about the whooping cough jag i.e. 'you might have a heavy arm' whatever that means. My arm was bloody painful for days and came out in a swollen lump and when I mentioned to the midwife she said that lots of ladies had told her the same and that one had to go to A&E coz her arm was so sore and swollen! I think they should give you some warning that this 'might ' happen so that you can shedule your jag for a week your not busy and also to choose what arm to have it in. My friend had it in her left arm and it was so sore that she couldn't change gear, therefore couldn't drive her car, therefore couldn't get to work and had to have 2 days off until her arm felt better!

    Rant over :o

Just jumping in re: hot water bottles - something that the lady who did our NCT class suggested was to fill a sock with rice and then tie it at the end, and you can heat it in the microwave (like one of those wheat bags, but much cheaper and just the same effect!). I really like it for pain relief on my back/bump and it doesn't get as hot as a hot water bottle made with boiling water.

A scan at 36 weeks is actually rather rubbish - baby is so big I couldn't see much and its curled up as theres not much room left - so couldn't see the facenor anything other than spotting the kidneys/bladder/stomach 50 odd times with the students!!!!!

You know mine was quite good We could see him blinking and saw how much hair that he had on his head (well, she pointed the hair out and I just went a long with it). It was nice having a good close up of his face (even though the eyes still freak me out) lol

I'm hoping that my 38 week scan will be good as well.

Seriously struggling with concentration and trying to write my assignment, in two hours ive done about 40 minutes work, I just cant get motivated, My mind is just on baby stuff, and the impending labour and whether OH will be home. Only 2 more days to go until hes back! Just got to hold on until then, would really like her to be born on tuesday, as I like the sound of 21st May. But we shall see, you obviously can't plan these things lol!

God it's not good when im the last and the first to post. Have been awake since 3 worrying about my assignment and Roos been up since 5 :(. Had a few shooting down below pains but thats it. Just need to get the next 2 days out of the way. Really want to go back to sleep.

How you feeling now MV did the hot water bottle help?

Have my pamper package today 2 1/4 hours of bliss. Then a much needed Starbucks and some studying. Think I might treat myself to a proper coffee too, I could do with the caffeine!

    Hope you're ok clarets.

    How's everyone else feeling today?

Morning missy. Poor you with your assignment. I wake up in a cold sweat from time to time dreaming I am having to do uni work/exams..terrifying!

Glad you have a pamper day today..lovely. Enjoy every moment and treat yourself to a nice coffee..I'm planning on taking a (slow) walk into town in a bit with DS and treating myself to a mocha.

I'm feeling better today thank you. Still got gripey pains in my tummy and not 100% comfortable, but I think the lactulose is starting to work.

Just hoping DS is good today. He's going through a real 'NO!' phase right now, and as he is so big and heavy, I struggle with him a bit, so fingers x'd he behaves today!

OH and I are off to Brighton for a night ALONE this coming weekend. My belated 40th birthday present :) Outlaws are coming down tomorrow evening and will be stopping with us until Monday. They drive me a bit crazy after a few days I have to say, but they are doing us a massive favour by looking after DS, so I can't moan too much :)

Itll be the first time we've been away for a night without him, so hoping it all goes well. He can be a bit of a b*gger at times! ;)

Morning all, glad you're feeling better MV.

Missy, I have a huge exam tomorrow which I'm now terrified about. I tend to worry more than I need to about these things but with tiny human on board I'm not sure if I'm over reacting or I actually have to be worried!

Enjoy your pamper package - so jealous!

44 days of work to go!

Morning claree - eek good luck with your exam tomorrow!

I haven't even counted to see how much longer I have at work, but just looked and it's 10 weeks. I work 3 days a week so that's only 30 working days left!
