Thanks for the tip claree, my mum was also saying a hot water bottle might help, but I too have heard advice not to use them in pregnancy.

I do have quite a few and all with covers so I may make myself one now and maybe just not use very hot water.

I phoned the hosital last week with my pain and the mw I spoke to told me to take paracetemol. I was a bit put out actually cos it felt far too painful for that but it did work as did warming up and relaxing properly... not easy with a toddler on the loose!

Thankfully DS is with the childminder today, so I do have the afternoon to myself
I'll go and take some paracetamol now, and get a hot water bottle and lie down.

Try to keep it towards the top of your bump as well and maybe just use hot water out of the tap if you're concerned

I've heard so much conflicting information during pregnancy it's insane. I wouldn't pass on the info if I hadn't been told by a MW though x

Lovely bumps Clare and MV! MV - yours is teeny tiny! Mine was twice the size at that stage - I must have a big placenta or a lot of fluid...that's what I'm telling myself anyway - Don't want a giant baby! Lol!

My midwife told me not to use a hot water bottle for the cramps I had a while back ... I think it depends who you speak to. Hope you feel better soon! x

God hormones are playing havoc. Feeling really upset and hormonal for no apparent reason. My pressure pains have gone too. I think I'm stressing about being tired and not going to have my assignment done. I think I'm going to have to just work really hard on it tonight and tomorrow night and hopefully get it most of it done if not all and just finish up on Friday night, ready to relax on Saturday when OH is here. Just any go into labour before then!

How annoying is that? Some clear instruction would be nice within the NHS, or is that asking too much?:rotfl:

Guy upstairs apparently had a plumber "looking at something else" today and they've managed to fix my hot water (just as the British Gas guy pulled up!). I can't help but think that the guy upstairs knew he'd done something and felt guilty about it - he mentioned he'd been "up at the tank" recently and then magically my water goes off - suspicious!!
