  • Hi,

I have noticed some 3 star jobs on Textbroker today in case this helps anyone. I also need to ask a question, the current article I'm working on requires keywords to be used a certain number of times, which I have however the system doesn't seem to be picking them up. It says to use the contact button but I can't seem to find it on the page anywhere. I might be being silly but could anyone help me, the article needs to be in soon!

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Is there any punctuation messing them up? Or have they been misspelled? I had this problem once on another site and eventually realised that I had corrected the spelling of a (probably deliberately) misspelled keyword phrase!

I don't think so unless you aren't allowed to use commas after the keywords. I've just tried copy pasting the keywords in and I've spelt the same way so I can't figure it out.

The keyword checker doesn't seem to be working even when I move it to manual. I've completed the article now and it's very frustrating that it won't let me send it!

Thank you anyway Patchwork Girl :)

Have you tried it without the commas?

I've just tried that as well as using Internet Explorer instead of FireFox and it's still not working. I have until tommorrow morning to sort this out and have emailed customer services but I'm worried they won't get back to me in time.

ETA: I've fixed the problem now, it seems it wanted me to put KW and then the number keyword it was next to each word.

    Thanks for all your help!

Let support know that you had this problem anyway, and what you had to do to fix it.

With regards to the HRMC discussion, how likely is it that the taxman will get wind of a weekly payment from a PayPal account? Genuine question - I'm not sure how they pick up on these things.

The question should be when will HMRC start requiring survey companies to provide details of who they are paying - like they did eBay and Amazon. They might not bother due to the low level of individual payments, but if they decide that overall there is a nice earner for them then who knows.
  • Just wanted to say hi! I signed up last night and stupidly decided that I'd submit my piece late at night out of impatience, I really hope I get an ok grade - but probably not!

Is there any way to leave textbrokers and re-join and try again if my grade is really bad?

  • Hi. I am really hoping someone is online and will be able to help me!

I got accepted by Textbroker as a 3 star. I waited for ages for an assignment to come up and the first one came yesterday.

As others have described on this thread, I spent an inordinate amount of time on this article because I wanted it to be perfect and help towards increasing my star rating.

An hour or so ago, I decided it was as good as it could be and I tried to submit it. However the key word checker will not register any of the keywords. I have checked and double checked them. They match spelling and capitalisation perfectly. The number is correct but Textbroker is not registering any of them.

I tried phoning them but there is no-one there. I've emails but so far no reply.

To make matters worse, I have no "Contact" button on the page above Contacts and Account as indicated in the paragraph about reporting technical issues regarding keywords.

I feel like crying because I spent so much time over this article and now I fear the deadline will pass before it's resolved making it look as though I didn't bother to fulfil my obligation and losing the work into the bargain.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how was it resolved?
