Finace type articles have just come up. 22 in total, scramble!

Thanks, taken one on the use of smartphones for banking. Thank god it has a 4 day deadline, this could take a while XD

  • Thanks Kiran - have grabbed one on saving money with the right bank account - something I was researching for myself last month!
  • I think the issue with both Textbroker and Clickworker is simply that summer in general and August in particular is essentially silly season and this being an Olympic year is only going to exacerbate that. Hopefully in a week or two, work will start to pick up.

I think I've just under sold myself. I just did my article, it was supposed to be 450 words and I finished at about 730 words after editing. Not massively conerned as they all needed to be in there to make it concise and it did kind of just flow but thats the most I've given away for free on tb, lol:rotfl:

I did a sample of writing last week about Liverpool and the things a tourist may like to see, had an email this morning to say it's Ok but only 3*. I was hoping for 4*.
Checked the site but there are no jobs up-for-grabs.
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I was wondering, and this may be a question for text broker directly, can you use your submitted articles as part of your sample work for propesctive clients? It's original but you have technically sold it to the client.

The reason I ask is that I have got a few that I have done which where genuinely interesting to write and turned out really well and would probably be a good showcase rather than starting from scratch.

  • @Kiran, you could ask Textbroker but I'd be surprized if they agree to this. Personally I'd have a look at the team orders page and see if there's anything there tickles your fancy and then write a sample with that team in mind.

When you go to the Writing Samples section, it says this: "Your style is unique. This is your place to showcase your style and knowledge. You can enter up to three writing samples that you wrote yourself and have not sold."

I would have thought that an article that you have written for a client on Textbroker will count as one you have sold.
  • Just had a look on the site and submitted my example piece. Looks interesting, but reading through this thread the pay sounds very low. Of course if you can knock and article out in 15-20 mins then perhaps it's reasonable, but I can't see what they entail let because my sample piece hasn't been looked at.

I've been writing for national magazines for a while and am looking to supplement that income with other writing, so we'll see how it goes!

Hi, can anybody advise me what to put on the 'pay off' page? I just hold a normal uk bank account - will that suffice?

    Thanks
