When you look at some of the islands available, in fact the relatively low cost of land in various foreign climes, it does make you wonder why were are flogging ourselves to death in the UK to make the £200-400k necessary to own a nice house...

I have just been teaching a student from Alabama - he was celebrating going home to temperatures in the 80's (high 20's and low 30's in new money). I have been to Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina and it is a seriously lovely part of the world with the nicest people EVER.
