I used to have a high powered management job, left it, downsized and now work part-time in a much less stressful job. I get a lot less pay, but actually am financially better off, and am so much happier, spending time at home and with family. I feel I have a good work life balance, and I wouldn't have had that if I had continued up the ladder.
Can I apply for island memberspship? Would love to come to the island. Cant cook:( knitting and crotcheting and sewing, can do basics. Gardening beginner.
But I can see the funny side (of almost anything) have read almost every zombie book ever written and am a hard worker!:)

If we could just come up with a way of keeping the chocolate from melting we'd be very popular though, I seem to remember reading that the early american pioneers had coolers that were tightly fitting lidded boxes that were tethered and left in running streams which kept the contents cool, could we modify that idea do you think? Or we could build an ice house ...
Please count me in - I could bring a couple of horses to ride and drive to get us about. (There might be some exciting moments, though...) Can also grow stuff, cook stuff and make stuff. OH is an engineer, and invents useful thingies.0 -

I don't see why we couldn't make a root cellar too CAKE, that is inspired thinking, an ice house would fit the bill just perfectly!!! GQ the chocolate thing is solved, hats off to THE CAKE who has just saved the sanity of the entire project!!!!!!!! Cheers Lyn xxx.0

The Greeks seem to be selling off lots of islands, so maybe clootiesmum, with her banking background, could help negotiate a deal?0

Tsk, what kind of short-termism is this? Ladies and gennelmen, we must not just think of today's chocolate, but tomorrow's. I vote for chocolate for the children and grandchildren.
Hmm; chocolate needs coco beans, coco beans grow on Ivory Coast, how about the availability of any attractive islands in that area?Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
