OK, so I've been playing around a bit, with the design and build of the stove.
Firstly, I've reduced it in height, by 1/4".
I know what you are wondering, "why make it smaller, when that means less fuel can be used"
Well, I got to thinking how easily damaged they are, when packed in a rucksack.
Anyway, Poundland sell 100ml round, Kliplock containers (3 in a pack), which have just the right inside diameter, to fit a stove snugly inside.
Unfortunately, they aren't quite tall enough, hence the reduction in height.
The stove still holds enough fuel to boil a pint of water and, the combined weight of stove and container is still a very reasonable 1.6oz (46g).
I've also been able to make them look better made.
By an amazing coincidence, the circumference of a 330ml fizzy drinks can is exactly 8-1/4".
If you take a strip of paper/light card, and mark along it, every 1/4", cut it off at the last mark, and Sellotape the ends together, it forms a collar (with 32 evenly spaced marks on it), which fits round the can.
If you use the cutting technique shown in the Youtube video, to score a very shallow scratch around the can's shoulder, 5/8" from the top, you can use it, and the 32 marks, to accurately pierce the burner holes.

Clootie's mum
I think GreyQueen made up her own underbed storage using plywood, beading to make an edge and then screwed castors underneath. Should be cheaper and made to measure.I did indeedy. Or rather my fab Mum made them for me.
I did have two of the Argos chrome-plated metal grid and wooden edged ones (£3 for 2 from a booter) for years but these aren't really up to the weight of 20-odd cans at a time. Not that they were meant to be, of course. The version of the same product now seems to be less robust; cloth-bodied.
They're not dear to make, we used bits and bobs which were laying around the shed; MDF, chip board, particle board. The edges are anything thin enough to be screwed down, just to stop the cans slipping off, and each trolley has a large screw eye screwed horizonally into it, so that the furthermost trollies can be hauled out using a bit of wood with a large cup-hook screwed into the end.
My bedroom is only a few inches bigger than the bed, so all the trollies have to be accessible from the same side.
The casters are £1 for 4 from £land. I also chose to put sticky-back plastic on them just for the look of the thing. Because I happened to have some going begging. You can also get that in £land......
My bed is a pine one, with only 10 inches clearance from the side-rails to the floor. The trollies run easily underneath as it is tiles over concrete. There's no heating in the room, the window is ususally open and they keep nicely-cool in there.
I only keep canned goods under the bed, somehow feel a bit squeamish about having pasta/ flour under there, but that's just my little foible.
Plywood is plenty strong enough for this purpose but you'll probably need to put a small block of wood under each caster to give it enough thickness to screw onto, if you use ply, if that makes any kind of sense.
£land does casters in two types and I've got both of them in use; one type has a flat metal plate with 4 screw holes (screws NOT provided) and the other has a post type fitting which you have to make a hole for, IYSWIM. Apart from the fittings, and that some come in black and some in grey, they appear to be identical.
I would prefer to have a nice larder cupboard but if wishes were horses we would all win the Grand National, would we not? I have the BB dates in pen on the tops of the tins and refill the cupboard from the trolley and top up the trolley from the store when I get a good deal.
Each trolley has a letter (A-F) stuck on it with tape and there is a notebook with the contents listed (in pencil, because they are constantly being amended) and also a diagram which tells me which trolley is parked where under the bed.
It's just an ordinary double bed and still has room for a suitcase and a large holdall trolleybag under there.
BBB, love the sound of your bug-out shed. Mum has a purpose built workshop shed, 10 X12 which she has pimped up with sheet polystrene covered with ply to insulate. Her shed is a workshop and so is professionally wired for both sockets and lights, the power cable comes overhead off the nearest point on their house.
I think you can never have enough sheds; they're Wendy houses and dens for grown-ups and I can't wait to get Shed 2 up and running on the lottie.
Hokay, better eat tea and head on up there. Beetroot needs planting.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Er, sorry, not much good at this spelling lark, but so sorry - the hardest decision of all...0 -
Thanks for the suggestions folks - although I really should follow GQ's example & make my own (using the castors off the old bed base no less) I think that might be a step too far for DH (slowly slowly catchee money at the moment) so I'll go for plasticky ones & now that we have a B&M near us a small forage might be in order.
I don't think tins will be under the bed either - again maybe a wee step too far at the moment but I will ponder on that just now.
But who cares - DH hopes to get out tomorrow - him being at home will be so much better for us both.....
Thanks again folksDebts 07/12/2021

Been on my feet since 6 a.m *knackered* and a bit
Poor OH had to get one shirt out of the tumble drier and wash up 3 plates so apparently I've let everything go to pieces as I've been in the garden for 3 days straight...not a happy bunny.
He's sat comfortably on his xbox while I've been scrubbing the loo just to make a point harumph..
Will come back in the morning when I'm in a better mood XX0 -

Thanks to Elona for spotting it first! There is a new case of H7N9, the first off the chinese mainland in Taiwan. A businessman from Taiwan who had visited China has been hospitalised since April 16th and is in a critical condition. He apparently had no contact with birds of any kind, nor had he eaten chicken or eggs.0
