Not sure about Australia but I think Peru has.0 -
How do you think the Scots feel l:) Whatever we vote for, its immaterial as we are vastly outnumbered. Every single region here voted to remain. It's Democracy in action I suppose. And yes a lot of the young people did panic as they've never experienced life outside of the EU. I'd agree with the others who think it's days are numbered. Too many countries, too many different interests.0

I've not read a single post "glorying in misfortune".
I've read ones saying its a democracy and therefore the majority vote wins. I've read ones commiserating with anyone affected for the worse personally. But not any "glorying in" ones at all.0 -

I haven't witnessed anyone, glorying in other's misfortune.
I see people having an interesting, respectful discussion, about a subject of interest.0 -
Well we certainly seem to have lit the blue touch paper - not only here but around the world. I wasn't prepared for the scale of it I'll admit. And now there is an online petition asking for a new referendum. If that does happen, I have no doubt that the vote would go the other way.
Meanwhile another worry is potential civil unrest and a worsening of the young v old divide. It was already getting pretty nasty online. How long before it is taken to the streets?
Then just as I was thinking OMG, up pops Juncker on our screens and with him a reminder of why so many people dislike what the EU has become.
I believe not just the EU but the whole establishment is like an old mug with cracks in it. It carries on for so long till it falls apart after maybe just a slight knock. Do you blame the person who knocked it or do you ask why the cracks were there in the first place?
I think this may be the time that threads like this come into their own.0 -

How about we look to the future and think today about how we will get ourselves collectively through the transitory and difficult time that inevitably lies ahead. The past is just that and can't be changed no matter how much we want it to, what is vitally important now is to prepare for the changes that must come about with the exit from the familiar and make changes and contingency plans to see us through to the future that we will have. I will keep prepping along the same lines as I always have done so food, meds, seeds, tools, a couple of sturdy pairs of shoes in the bottom of the wardrobe, a spare warm coat if I find one and keep growing as much of our own food as we can. I'll upkeep our property, look after and repair the posessions we have and make all of it as good as I can and keep it in good repair. I'll part with as little of our income as I can and make what I do part with work as hard for us as I possibly can. I will live my life and adapt to things I have no influence over. As a human being I can't do more than that. I will live today, tomorrow and until my allotted time is up as well and as contentedly as I am able!0

Not to mention, far too much debt, far too much unemployment, and far too many stagnating economies.
Of course, propping up Greece's finances (and pretending it isn't bankrupt) doesn't help.0
