We're putting in an extra row of spuds just in case, we've got the space and we've been given the spuds, not a bad idea to pop in a bit extra in the produce line if you've got the room for it. It will come in handy and be used whichever way we end up voting and whatever the result of that actually is. I'll be drying off the French beans that have gone all hoary and hairy at the end of the season again, they're a bit variable in size but they taste just fine and they've kept well over the winter. We'll also be trying to get a defunct freezer to use as a root store this year and He Who Knows is in process of setting up a cider making co-operative with the U3A group in the village, going to be busy but that's how we like it and we'll eat and drink well next winter as a result of planning and acting now, can't be bad can it?0

I'm researching garlic at the mo, and collecting bits and bobs on pinterest - I saw one pic of garlic planted in a container, with the half grown bulbs only an inch or so from each other. Can I ask, how closely do people plant their cloves when growing in a container? Mine is planted in the ground, and its at the standard 6 - 8" from one another. And recently I've seen cloves from last year that didn't grow, but they're growing now. There's more to this garlic malarkey than meets the eye2023: the year I get to buy a car0

ive heard rumours that my local labour council is refusing to allow their employees who are unison stewards /helpers to support unison members like me ..who have been outsourced to and are cooperative type care agency because we are no longer public employees.......no mention of this when convincing us to move over last year....how could a labour council be so petty as to interfere with union representation.....does Jeremy know? they maybe trying it on, and may not happen but surprising.....what do you think GQ as our public service guru0

Don't know GQ's views, but I think it's very unlikely that whoever is running the council offices/local government considers the current MP's political leanings when determining internal policy and procedures, and that Mr Corbyn neither knows, nor cares, unless asked for a press line.
Sounds like an issue for the union.
Or to take up at the next constituency surgery. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
