I just found a slug crawling up the (outside of the) water supply pipe in my downstairs loo. Still, that solves the mystery of how they get in. :)
:) You could eat it and then you'd be as badass as the SAS. Preptastic!

I get the feeling the old caulking gun will be getting a Sunday outing this week.:rotfl:

When ah wor eur bairn we 'hud chookies. We used tae keep t' chuky tucker i' lorge steel bins. Mooar than ance we fahn' rats 'ed chewed ben th' bins tae gie a' t' feed.

Cats eat rats, but cats are scared of chickens, don't cha know.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Thanks GQ. Unfortunately my caulking gun is at the flat I'm working on. I have been doing poor man's caulking this afternoon though with some left over sealant. When I was really hard up I used D cell batteries to push the plunger of the sealant cartridge down. :)

I had one crawling out of the overflow on my kitchen sink *shudders*

Much lots of boiling water later, I still hesitate to leave pots in the sink.

Popped across to see what was up GQ, everything's crossed for you, just wish you didn't have to wait (know what that's like ).

    :) Thanks, pet.

I spoke to the horspickle late on Friday when I got the letter. They have to see me within 2 weeks of the referral but they have no appts left this side of Easter. I was offered a choice of being seen for a consultation (tests to follow at a another appt) within the next 2 weeks, or calling on Weds and being seen on 30th March. I have opted for the latter option, get it all over and done with at one appt, or at least until the results come in.

I sure as hell hope I don't need a surgery which would interfer with my archery...........:rotfl:

:) I once spoke to a lady who'd found a ratty in her WC bowl. And another who'd come f-2-f with one in her pantry.

I just read that as panty. :)
  • Keeping you in my thoughts GQ. I totally concur with keeping your worries from family at this stage, but do use us to vent if it helps. The waiting part is always hard.

Catching up and I just wanted to add my best wishes GQ - whatever needs doing (and I hope nothing does) - it's 'do-able'... the waiting is tough. Add it to that rich tapestry of experiences..

GreyQueen - it is what it is. And very soon you will find out what it is, and whatever it is you will deal with it. Now get out there and bash some slugs. Horrible things. Can anyone tell me, if everything on Earth is here for a purpose, just exactly what useful purpose slugs serve? They are not even decorative!
