No bad feeling in my heart poppet, and none in anyone I know. We're all to blame for the bad feeling being allowed to manifest itself as a divide but I hope maybe it's time to change that? People in the north are just that 'people' as are people in the south we have different life experiences but we're all human beings and MUST have a care for each other in all things or we lose that humanity. The lady was wrong, it's not amusing to drag up past mistakes and throw them in the face of the young specially not when the young are making their own lives, she should have been a better person than that. I care about ALL other folks no matter who, no matter where, all are humans and if they need care and love and help I'll give it regardless.0

Lyn when I was caring in the South I had a lady in her early 70's scoff in amusement that she had a girl from Durham wiping her behind for her. She went on to tell me with some delight that her husband was policemen sent up to Durham to beat the likes of my lot on the picket lines.
Too much bad feeling brought about by Politics eh?
That's awful fuddleIt makes me fume that some folk think it's fine to speak like that to other folk

It makes me fume too. It was a horrible attitude to have and to drag up past hardships of others and take delight in misfortune is awful.

And people are denying climate change. :rotfl:
I watch a Canadian canoe channel and the host was canoeing on the lakes of Ontario a couple of days before Christmas when the lakes are normally frozen solid and people are ice fishing. That gives a hint to how warm it is there.
I have friends hammock camping in Ely Minnesota next week end and many were hoping for seriously sub zero temperatures and it is only just going to get cold on Saturday.
Yep...over here in West Wales it occurred to me how mild the temperature is today (and that's compared to what I'm used to personally) for this time of year. 'Tis true - I was walking around taking my gloves off and feeling fine temperature-wise (not a way I tend to expect to feel outside in January).
Though I think I might well swop the unseasonably mild temperature for a more "normal" amount of rain personally:cool:.0 -

Maybe what's causing climate change, is the methane being produced by nearly 7,000,000,000 human beings.
Just on the off chance it is, we should outlaw breaking wind.
We really should at least look into how we can collect it and use it for power generation  (but cows are likely to be more of a problem...)0 -
It doesn't actually matter what's causing climate change; if anything we're doing is exacerbating it, we should be stopping it now! All the debating/arguing about what is or isn't causing it is stopping us from doing what little we can to ameliorate the situation.Angie - GC Aug25: £374.16/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0
