  • Morning everyone.

One step nearer today to finding out what is going to happen with hubby, as we have to go and see a "top brass blokey" today

Can't say much on here but please keep your fingers crossed for us today.

Did anyone see the blind man getting zapped on the news :eek: thats what I call having a bad day !!! terrible thing to happen and I bet it has affected him as it would me I would be scared to ever go out on my own. It must be a blind persons worst nightmare.

    Anyway must get on

I saw that  what a disgrace. How can the police mistake a white stick for a samurai sword , the officers involved should have their eyes tested  The police should not be allowed to carry these weapons, they are too quick to use them.
I read last year or the beginning of this that they had tasered and 83 year old woman as well, what if the poor man had a bad heart and had died. An apology is not good enough. I would sue them for as much as I could .
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Gotcha!! And it is a Little Nipper, GQ ... a quick end. I baited the trap with a nugget of chocolate spread, so hopefully the mouse died happy. Will repeat ad infinitum, I think, as I'm not sharing my garlic! And thanks for reminding me folks that squirrels can chew through wiring - will nudge the builders who are coming to squirrel-proof the roof, etc., as I really would like to CHOOSE who we share our home with.
I have just had a quick look at my Armageddon/Zombie Invasion stash, and it is growing quite big; I've been adding to it regularly for the past few months as and when I find a bargain, buying what we eat, etc. Will have to give some serious thought to storage (mostly tinned, but some dry goods too). Also giving serious thought to buying a dehydrator. A serious week....
Love and hugs to all who need them, and thanks as ever for your advice/help/support/humour. xx
I havn't the heart to kill them, we use a humane trap and let them go,but it is probably the same little bu##er coming back.As it is only in the garage we don't mind.i have a dehydrator, not an expensive one [i wish] and it really is great, you won't regret getting one. Take care all you poorly people, sending you all big hugs.

I can't agree more! Thankfully they aren't armed too!

  • Christmas - Us, DD, my mum and DD boyfriend. In the morning we visit my inlaws.

As a child it was spent with mum, grandparents, uncle, aunt, aunts dad, cousins and sometimes aunts younger brothers (home from the army). It was chaos! I used to love being able to go upstairs to my room and be on my own.

At the moment everything is becoming a little more SHTF than I would like. If I am MIA it's nothing personal I shall just be hiding under the quilt! DD and I are still coughing for England. Mr F going still to the hospital daily for tests blood tests (INR) for clotting and Warfarin. FIL was expected to have a good colonoscopy today, not as clear as we'd hoped it would be, my mum is back for her cancer check up next week and my MIL is still suffering the side effects of broken hip/surgery/MRSA infection/further surgery.

    Sorry pathetic whinge over!

PIC - I hope you and your OH have good luck. x
Keeping you firmly in my thoughts.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

Oh and is there a great dearth of bog standard household candles? Or am I just being a daft mare and not spotting them anywhere?

all this talk of christmas i loooooove it!!!! this year i wont be cooking yayyyyyyyyy mil for the big day then my mums on boxing day, i did last year so feet up for me. i go see mum and dad christmas morning have breakfast bro and sis we all meet up there then we go our own ways one of us always has mum and dad so its a family time, then b.day we all meet in mums and we all spend the day together us and all our kids and husbands, none of us drink through choice but we still have a ball we eat /graze constantly. we a close family sometimes too close(brother thinks he me and sis guardian) and always have been around each other so nobody escapes ....i did once want to go away for christmas (perish the thought) and was nearly outed from the family! i enjoy it and i know i am lucky to have a large family when some people have none and can see how some people dont enjoy it as it would be a very lonely time if you on your own.on another note i dont know how some of you speak so freely about mice etc they are my phobia cant even watch Stuart Little!! i skim read all the posts that talked about them i am petrified absolutly horrified at the thought of them, snakes spiders, insects dont mind them but long tails make me weep. i dont like cats either as they eat them aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh i imagine them sittin on peoples knees gettin stroked and a mouse in there belly ......cue body shakes and dry heaving....sorry im sure all you cat lovers are wonderful mums/dads but i dont like them.im afraid we are the door open freak people in our house basically door only allowed open long enough for person to go in/out. 2 years ago i heard a squeaking noise evacuated house in military fashion was waiting in car for oh coming home from work 3 hrs later, he was sent in like white warrior ended up being a bottle of diet coke thats lid wasnt on right was expelling and making squeaking noises. took me 3 days to get over that one. sorry rambling now off to get son from school soon have a good peaceful day all.xxx
