We've tried some of the roof wood on the stove and it burns very well indeed. The bungalow it came from was late 1950s and the wood is very dry from having been under cover all those years. It doesn't look to have been treated at all. We're hoping it will pick up a little moisture in storage and burn a bit more slowly because of that. It certainly caught very quickly and has been burning well for the best part of 45 minutes!0
