I have also been trying to save enough to pay bills for at least six months, I am quite a way off of that though
I really do not like the way the politicians are selling us out to the mainly American corporations and I think that the secret TIPP treaty will prove disasterous for this country
Be careful. If you have too much money you may not be eligible for benefits if DH loses their job. Paying down debts to create leeway to cope with changes is probably a good thing, and investing in things that make life easier and can also save money is a good alternative to conventional investments which are all over valued already and far more risky.
I think it is incredible that the politicians promise a referendum when it comes to giving up sovereignty to the EU but are silent when they propose far more loss of sovereignty to corporations via TIPP.It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0 -
Off topic but just to say we are on Countryfile tonight - BBC 7.30 (subject to flippin football). Tour de France and all that. We are already getting visitors scouting out the area. I just tell them if they even think of parking down here we will set about them with pitchforks.
Actually I forgot they were coming. I'm pretty sure our farmer was giving his sheep a wash and blow dry for the occasion. I fully intended to muscle in with the border collie but forgot they were coming.

No need to be. Binoculars only cost £30 from Amazon. The tripod adaptor cost £1.62 from eBay, and the tripod, I got a simple Hama version from Jessops (before they went bust) for less than £30 IIRC.
I am looking forward to setting it all up on my desk so I can see out of the window. It might be really good for bird watching but astronomy is the other main use pre SHTF. Post SHTF keeping an eye on approaching hoards of electoral canvassers, and zombies.
The reason I decided to get one was that I have seen a number (not many) on Youtube videos of BOB contents and it was at a low enough price and multifunctional to make sense getting one now for me to trial in case I want to get a better version in future.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinaterI dont suffer from insanity....I enjoy every minute of it!!.:)

LYNN, your post reminds me of 3 weeks ago my mum was in our weekly market and shes due a knee replacement at end of the year so her knee tends to "give" every now and then we decided to split up and meet in middle as she wanted wool for knitting anyway half hr later I sees my mum being escorted by 2 18 year old gothics ,piercings, tatoos the lot thinking she was in trouble I runs over only to find them helping my mum to a seat , her knee had went beneath her and they came running to help her ,but she said a couple man and woman dressed in golfing gear, him supporting the pringle jumper over the shoulders and her in her gold shoes and matching bag seen her and turned their heads I was furious with them. I thanked the kids a million times and ended up finding out they live in the next street. so I will never judge anyone again. not that I ever did judge people by the way they look as if you seen me you would probally grasp hold of your bag that little bit tighter lol I like tattoos and was once a goth too many years ago so aging goth is what I am .also my mum ended up getting them to do her gardening for extra cash over the summer before they go to uni, they did it last week and it was great so lad coming again next week to mow the lawn and do weeding . she has new friends for life lol.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z #7 member N.I splinter-group co-ordinater

Going out to play now, write interesting things for when I come back. ZH is debating the fall of empires right now. I really must read Gibbons' Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire but that'd take a fair chunk of time.
