Also paper plates and plastic knives and forks. The Greenie in me is horrified but it does make sense if water is in short supply - and they're very cheap from the £ shop
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

I'll be OK then Grandma half my loft is full of plenty :o

Very good point though. We switched to traditional hankies a few years ago as they're a bit softer on the snozz.

Typically I then needed tissues for disposability when OH got flu and I didn't have any and I ain't letting him near my plenty just to blow his hooter :rotfl:

:) Another horrified Greenie here who has done the same thing for the same reason. And also from the poundshop.

They lurk still in their wrappers on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboard, to be deployed in an emergency.:)

Rethinking our eating habits could also be good - eating out of communal bowls with our hands would reduce washing up. I know several of the parents from DS1's primary school had their children have packed lunch of sandwiches because they would have struggled with the cutlery & plates style of eating approved by the dinner ladies.... Now, personally, I'd have gone into school & said 'this is what we need, how can you accommodate it?'.

Hope the end of the world doesn't happen on 22 december, DS1 & I have diaries for next year already! It would be really funny if some indiana jones style door rolled back to reveal 'the new mayan calendar' on the 22nd.

Oh well, in case TEOTWAWKI is coming, can I be a C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z person too? Umm, I think my specialist skills are having lots of waterproof trousers & being good at customising hamster cages... But I also make a good vegan chocolate cake, & lots of people ask for the recipe!

My friend's new grandbaby is doing well, & has had his breathing tube removed as he's doing it by himself. Thanks to all for best wishes, I had multi quoted on my phone to name you, but it went flat, & doesn't remember that when it comes back on...

If a book is free do you still have to buy it as though you were buying a book that is not free and give your credit card details/address etc...as I cannot get it to download to my pc which it says that I can do. Just wondering if I go through that procedure whether I'll be charged...

If I could get that sorted until I invest in a Kindle I could be downloading all sorts...

I know, thank goodness for all the experienced & knowledgeable staff who are supporting them - premature babies are worrying enough for experienced parents, but they are so young & he, at least, has had so little to do with babies, that it's all new to them.

I was browsing on my phone, so went straight to my free amazon kindle download & got the book on here - there was another that looked interesting, about how to build food supplies when you've not got much money, but it was 77p, so I'll browse the library for it...

Pops, when I used the link from my browser on my phone, it wanted me to log into amazon, but from the free kindle application on my phone (where I'm always logged in so I can see my downloads) it just put it straight on. Do you have an amazon account?
