Carrots are among the first GM foods; their colour was changed in the 17thC.

That is more about selective breeding. I have no problem with that form of change.

I don't fancy eating purple carrots, I have seen them in seeds for sale but they don't look right to me , if shtf I would prob eat anything though.over here we have pinks and blues potatoes its the skin which is tinged those colours not the actual potato, my son would love blue mash.

You plug the red ended plug into a 12V supply, such as a car cigarette lighter socket, or a Jump Starter pack, then you plug 12V devices (eg. soldering irons, inspection lamps, tyre inflaters) and USB devices (eg. Mobile phone chargers, MP3 players) into the sockets on the main body of it.

Me, I'll be plugging a mobile phone multi charger into the USB socket
    Octopus.gif
    and an 80W inverter
    41fle5nmvtL._SX300_.jpg
into one of the 12V sockets.

For some bizarre reason all I could think of after seeing this plug adapter is a row of neighbours with their ironing boards lined up next to their car with the iron plugged into the car lighter :rotfl: (I think I have issues)

I don't lock the doors at all as people would have to be really desperate to get to me. We are in a corner and the back fence has houses backing onto us all the way round so they would have to walk through their houses first. To the front we have six foot security coded gates, camera and alarm system and a psychotic Collie and three other dogs as back up (granted the Beagle wouldn't get out of bed but he sounds bad)

If anyone got through all that they would be most disappointed as we haven't got anything worth stealing :rotfl:

Does anyone else find it incredible that they haven't found this plane yet? DH was in the RAF and he says it just isn't possible.

So has nobody else got a Tilley lamp and a gallon of paraffin tucked away somewhere "just in case"? We've even got as spare mantle for ours ... somewhere ...

Yep we have one with spare "wicks" and a spare glass as well. Was brilliant last time we had a power cut as it gave out reasonable light PLUS a suprising amount of heat to take the chill off.

  • CRAIGY we grew 'Rainbow Carrots' one year and got them in every shade it's possible to get and they ALL just tasted of carrot. If you were blindfolded there wasn't a jot of difference between any of them!!!

PIC it is very odd that they haven't even a whisper of where it went or what happened but I think there are so many possibles being bandied about by the press it's muddying the waters somewhat. I keep thinking it was a very long time before they found any trace of the French plane that dissapeared coming out of South America and I expect they will find where this one went, and what happened to it, it will just take a long and worrysome time. Those poor relatives waiting at the airport, they must be out of their minds by now mustn't they? I wish the authorities could find the plane just to end their harrowing wait.

And isn't it great fun watching the moths cremate themselves?

I had some of those carrots in an organic veg box and I made a homemade soup and it tasted lovely but just didn't look right while I was eating it!:D
What we would like to know, but don't like to ask, is did they have the same effect (coughs) as beetroot?

I've dusted down the tin foil hat on this one and in amongst the confusion, denials, information and counter information, I would be surprised if at least one country didn't have a very good idea of what happened, where it happened and why it happened. I'm even wondering if it was shot down as a plane gone rogue? It must be terrible for the families whose only hope now must be the slim chance that it was landed somewhere and hidden.
