They call it partially or pseudo anonymised - which is a bit like saying world war broke out - but only partially. :D

Recently bought myself a shiny new, Windows 8 Notebook.

Just turned on the Wi-Fi, and I'm amazed at the lack of care some people take, with their wireless networks.

There are at least a dozen wireless networks within range of my bedroom windowsill, three of which are unsecured.

Two of these are, I believe, meant to be unsecured (they're listed as BT WiFi with FON), but one is a simple BT WiFi.

Just about anyone could be using that last person's connection.
I have in the past been very grateful for open wifi. Though mine currently is significantly stronger than standard passwords. At the moment it is about 50 characters long and all randomly generated.

It does not have your name on it. What more do you want? :rotfl:

Im sure Mr Cameron (showing him the respect that he doesnt show others) is right in not going to Sochi as he may be kidnapped but sending Hague ensures that wont happen to him as they would pay us to take him back.

I thought that till I just saw the programme on people having to use food banks because their benefits have been sanctioned :mad:And we are supposed to be a civilised, First World country :mad:

And if I hear about 'hard working taxpayers' once more I shall scream - though thinking about it, I guess I fall into that category- I am currently a higher rate tax payer (just) and also declare a little self employed income, pay 2 lots of NI etc, but if what I pay goes to keep people who are down on their luck, disabled or mentally ill housed, warm and fed, I am happy with that. If on the other hand it goes to bailing out banks, wars, MPs' expenses, ATOS, G4S and their ilk, that is quite another thing

Regarding paraffin heaters, I prefer to use a few Hurricane Lamps.

    They produce light and heat.

We have one of these and last time we had a power cut we were really suprised how much heat this and a few candles produced. It wasn't hot in the front room, but you really felt the difference in temp when you went upstairs or in the kitchen.

Going to invest in another one or two we think. Meanwhile we are still aiming to save up to get a log burner a around here we can source quite a bit of free wood/kindling and cheap wood as well.

:sad:Daz sad to hear about your cousin, so young.

Butterfly Brain, thanks for sharing that link about patient data. Alarming stuff, but nothing surprises me much these days and we so often find out about these things afterwards and can do little about them:mad:

Yet to catch up on the prog on food banks etc no doubt I shall be fuming and growling at the tv, will watch later.

Been watching and listening to the latest developments and I think there is so much posturing, disinfo and prop*ganda that it's difficult to see where this is all going. Can't help, but wonder what's happening else where apart from the ruddy p1storious court case (is anyone really that interested over here) I have been having a wee look at the history and other info related to U and have to wonder if the interest from the West is not for the reasons we are lead to believe but more about the investment and contracts already made and lined up regarding fracking in west U and oil exploration in the Bla*ck sea. Since when have govs and pol1tians been interested in the people.
