    :) Afternoon all.

Further to yesterday's discussion, I can report that there are gadzillions of fence panels down all over this city. This I know because I've been ordering them to be repaired. All-ruddy-day. At this rate, we'll have got them all back in place by the time of the next lot of storms. Tell ya, if I hear about one more blinking fence panel, I may just start pulling out my rapidly-greying hair.

 ((((((thriftwizard)))))))) OMG, not Mount TP with a mouse infestation. How very dare they. And do you notice that they favour quality products? Mum had one in the broom cupboard, presumably a cat-snack that escaped, and it moved into a pile of rags. There was only one non-rag in there, a microfibre cloth, and guess which one got chewed up? Yup, the little devils.

There seem to be a lot of rats about atm. Well, thanks to me and mine dispatching pest controllers, the herd will being thinned slightly, but there seem to be more about than other years. creatures.

I'm running on 3 hours' sleep, caffience, chocolate and bile atm. I really must get off this planet soonish before I go as doolally as the natives.

Bob, IRL or online, I only leg-pull those I think capable of matching it - with interest.

Like some old-time film stars, I need a little distance from the camera to look my very best; near-earth orbit being optimal.:p

Enough with the funnies already; I'm drinking tea and have a putty-coloured computer. It could end messily.

You were a old-time film star! Come on, let me guess "some like it hot" :D

My TV just went to CRT heaven. RIP my little lilac coloured Sharp... First I had to tap it sometimes to get a pic, then I had to whack it, then I had to knock seven bells out of it. :(
Finally - I think it was the hammer it objected to.
So going cold turkey at the mo apart from a few must watch programmes on t'interweb. But can I do without - or will I be dusting off the Maestro Card?

I'm an alien myself and am stuck here until I've finished my dissertation on these funny earthian ways. My spaceship will be taking me back to Planet Sensible soon.

Sorry, my mistake. When you said film star you meant YOU'R ET :rotfl:

    :o Awww!

Ackshully, shames me to admit it, but I have been contaminated by earth-germs (caught from chocolate) and have had my Planet Sensible residency visa revoked. If I go back, I shall have to live on one of their satellite moons, mining for apostrophes, with the rest of the criminal classes.

Seriously. Grammar is a life-and-death matter to the Sensibilians and the supply of various forms of punctuation is closely-controlled. A rogue element has even contemplated invasion of Planet Earth just to seize our seemingly unlimited and seemingly unappreciated supply of apostrophes.

Their reasoning is that we obviously have so many, and fling them around with such abandon, that even produce-sellers have them in excess.

So, guard your grammar and hide the hyphens, because somewhere in a galaxy far away, envious eyes are watching.

This nonsense has been delivered to you with the aid of a pint of tea and 200g of chocolate. Please don't attempt this at home.

We find this after the heavy rain that the rats become closer to our home. I think that due to the ground water levels rising their usual homes/hiding places are flooded. One tried to move into our hen house and the hens went mad. They actually pecked the thing to death (well it wasn't moving), but I still bashed it on the head just to make sure.

Oh, my washing machine just died. Have a policy on this but they say it'll be 2 weeks before they can come out. Rung the local launderette who say it's £3.50 per wash, but this means also transport cost and the time of waiting for the wash to finish. Just going to take minimal amounts. Good job it's half term, the kids can live in the same clothes. Makes me think about alternative washing methods. I did a search and found this http://www.behance.net/gallery/GiraDora-human-powered-washer-spin-dryer/4519945. This looks like it could do the job and looks simple to use and I could sit down and eat chocolate to keep me going :).
