I am planning on getting a big load of TP but just so I do not have to worry about it. I can get most items locally but TP is expensive locally so being frugal about TP.

Staples had Nicky's Soft Touch at £7.50 for 36 rolls last time I needed to stock up; not the first place you'd look but worth stocking up while you're there.

:) I remember the first time I was ever doing an office stationery order from the cataglogue and one of the colleagues said Don't forget the tea and coffee.

I gave them a How gullible do you think I am? look (was much younger then) but it was true, there they were in the stationery cataglogue. What other surprising things turn up at big box stores which might be of interest to us?

Funny how after all the times I have been humoured when remarking upon food/energy prices and crises, and given the occasions I have been mocked for being even vaguely prepperish whenever my stores have been discovered, it is the price rise in tp that has made everything somehow more relevant to the OH.... !!

:) Galloping inflation is what few people under 50 can recall. Start hitting people in the wallet and you get reactions. However it brought him onside, it's a good thing.

Just wanted to share a LOL moment (and very nearly a tea-related keyboard accident)A commentator on the latest ZH article about falling disposable income said:

I know what happened to my disposable income. The government disposed of it.

Hope no one's having to fill sandbags, or evacuate? Just saw that students at Aberystwyth have had to leave their student accommodation for the 2nd or 3rd time this year.

Just about to start watch Ben Fogle surviving in some American swamp - Channel 5, on now!

Remember the old army rule about toilet paper.

    Only use three squares.

One square for up and down, one square for side to side, and one square for polishing.
