Even better  - if there is anyone you don't like - you could leave the trap door open, put the rug over the top and sort of entice them across the gap :cool:0 -
Talking of tins for the store, M&S currently has an offer on the smaller round tins of Ham, Cured Turkey and Cured Chicken at 2 x tins for £3.00p. They are normally over £2 each so worth taking advantage of as the meat is good and solid inside and not full of water, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Well, they offer (even more money) a garden one -

I am currently trying to plan a DIY one under a shed floor, but put off by what to do with the spoil.

I've actually got huge cellar space... this house is built on a hill and at the lower end there's 6ft clearance, and a hatch under the hall carpet. I always thought if I was younger I would've made something out of that space...it's clean and dry as a bone. I went down once to carry cable for the RV who was putting Sky in the rooms.0

OK, so earlier, I mentioned that not all cans are suitable for making the Spirit Stove shown in my photo.
Here's the two most common types of 330ml fizzy drink cans.
You will notice that the inner lip is wider on the can on the right. It is probably most easily seen, in the photo of the cans with the tops removed.
It is the wider rimmed cans (on the right in the photos) you need for the Spirit Stoves.0 -
I've bought 4 of those.
Based on the advice of FEMA, to allow 1 gallon per day, that gives just under 9 days of water.
Given our generally temperate (often bloody freezing) climate, it could even stretch to a fortnight.
I'm trying to decide, if I should add a couple more, when my local £land gets some more in :think:0 -
BB what are you going to put the dog food in?
(though I may well have missed that :rotfl:).
For water, I have an excellent travelling affair - a water bottle with a hinged drinking trough
This sort of thing but in a more tasteful colour nat.
