Hopefully the police will be investigating the comments on the City Council's facebook page. I've reported some already.

As I have already asked, could anyone please tell me if his body was returned to the owners after he was PTS?
    If not, why not?

He hasn't been returned to them, I've no idea why not but they did say they would post some of his ashes to them :mad:

    Sadly no.

They wouldn't even let them have his collar
Not that his collar compares with having him back but I'm sure all pet owners on here who have lost a beloved pet know what it's like to want to have something of theirs to keep.

As to why not - why have they acted in the despicable manner that they have all along? It really beggars belief

So the dog was PTS and the Court Order was adhered to.
Why would they then not release the body to the family?
As they have carried out the order made by the court ,what is so wrong with this reasonable request?
something is REALLY not right here ..

Edited because I couldn't find what I was looking for to link to. But I did find this which should hopefully prove that what was said in court wasn't the truth:

This is the senior Dog Warden with the dog that she testified on oath in court that she was afraid of and was a danger to the public

As you say, something is REALLY not right :(

I'll have to search for it so I can post a link, but they didn't actually have to put him to sleep. The court hadn't ordered that. BCC made that choice.

Like I've said I think the dog either died or was PTS some time ago, hence the mystery & lack of noise from BCC over this....

It would also explain why they wouldn't let Victoria Stillwell take the dog. Maybe it was too late.

This now really needs to be investigated properly.
I honestly hope that the dog owners will take this further and that the Council have an open book policy avaliable to all that explains what actually occured and the true date of death.
Why have they witheld the body?
What reasons have they given considering the dog no longer poses a threat?
If there is nothing to hide then there should not have been a problem
