Me Im totally the reverse. I'm in my early 30's but I'm having a blast - I'm having a better time now than I was in my late teens/early 20's! I have a long term partner yes but it doesnt mean I've turned boring - I dont have kids and soon I will be medically unable to have them - I'm having a whale of a time! I dont resent any of my old school friends who have kids but what does annoy the hell out of me is those who feel the need to post up every tiny little thing their little darling does - along with photographic evidence!!

I always wonder why there are sometimes status' like 'the kids are doing a jigsaw puzzle':rotfl:

I dont mind funny statuses/pictures, my old work colleague posted an absolutely hilarious picture of her little girl drinking her cup of tea :D

I think some of the worse statuses I've seen have mentioned wind, vomit and other such charming things...

I had a "colourful time" in my early 20s and had some amazing experiences with amazing people. Sadly we all moved around the country in our late 20s and not being able to stay in touch as easily meant that we drifted apart a bit.

I'm now mid 30s and have a 2 year old. Being a SAHM, along with Facebook, have given me the opportunity to reconnect with those people. As I've had a bit of time away from work and become a mum I've actually been thinking more about the person I was in my early 20s, and reconnecting with my friends from back then is helping me to be the independent and fun person and not just "x's mummy".

Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

I have also noticed this. Long gone are the going out photos and here come the 'im a parent now' status's. Alot of people I know have small children and their facebook seems to literally be a 'diary' of their childrens lives! Iunderstand that they are proud parents but I always think its going too far when they are constantly updating their FB status to things like 'johnny did a massive p** today, my little angel is soooo cute isnt he?' ......ummmm? no thats repulsive! I like you, but I do not want to know what your offspring is doing 24hrs a day!

Maybe because its because I havent got kids so 'I dont understand' but when I eventually do have them I will be making an effort not to be like this!
On a side note, why is it that people put their baby scan pics as their profile pic? There is only so much enthusiasm I can show to a black and white blurry image of a baby, who at that stage ALL look the same!:rotfl:no, it is not cute!!- I cant even tell which way up it is! rant over. sorry.

I love the old photos of me, for start I was a size eight and not in a wheelchair :) that said, my life and my childrens lives are not plastered all over FB, my privacy settings are friends only and I have to approve any 'tags' the price of vanity :) - and I didn't change my surname on marriage, I like my 'maiden' name (and his was unspeakably awful lol)

That is the whole point....they are prob funny, but only to you and family, who see the 'cute' side in everything your little ray of sunshine does.
To everyday people without kids....like me, its not that interesting! :o

....ps, that website is funny! x

:rotfl: If you do,just never post things like 'kids are eating tea' followed by 'just about to bath the kids' then 'kids are in bed':rotfl: (I have an old school friend who does that:eek:)
