    Morning Folks

I have not got very much planned this weekend. I may try and get some gardening done if the weather is nice, it depends how distracted I get by the Olympics :rotfl:

I will go shopping tomorrow for the weekly shop. I have about £29 left for the month, but I just need a bit of fresh stuff.

I have quite a few jobs to do around the house over the weekend and I might do a bit of trading on the Tennis.

Right my meal plan for today is :-

Breakfast:- Porridge and Banana - 42.6p
Snack:- Jelly and peaches - 26p
Lunch:- Spicy carrot and tomato soup - 50p
Lunch:- 2 slices of bread with butter - 8p
    Lunch:- Apple - 22p
    Lunch:- Yoghurt - 25p
    Snack:- Blueberries - 40p
    Tea:- Scampi Salad - £1.16

So that is a total of £3.29

A little bit high today, we always tend to have scampi salad on Friday as a bit of a treat. Hopefully, next week I can try and cut down the prices on some things.

    Morning :-)

Sounds like your plans are coming together. Go MF! I like your idea of costing your meals, I might have to try it too.

It's a while since I've eaten Scampi, always my Grandma's favourite when I was little. I will have to keep an eye out for it in the supermarkets...... As per G'Ma, I would need to eat it with Tartre Sauce :-)

Hope your day goes well! Enchanted.

    Hi Enchanted21,

I do love Scampi, we have it most Friday's; I look forward to coming home from work, Scampi kind of signals the start of the weekend.

Oh and a glass of red wine of course

Just thought I should research the benefits of red wine......... Seeing as though I drink so much :-)

And it gives me a heads up when Hubby says 'another glass?'........ I just say 'I guess! The flavenoids are sooooooooooooo good for me' :-)

    Any excuse!

Also my gf doesn't like red wine, so it is shame that I have to drink the whole bottle myself.
