In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Hi Macpep. I haven't 'spoken' to you yet but I'd read where you were taking your poorly cat to the vet and I had tears in my eyes for you when I saw the poor puss had had to be put to sleep.
My little girlie cat, who had been cruelly treated before coming to us, had her last three years with us, and was spoiled as much as any cat could be. Three short years, she had heart and kidney disease, and we had to lose her in March, and I still can't look at photos of her, so my heart went out to you. I do hope you get a long time with your new kitten, I'm sure she is going to the best welcome and best home she could get. X0 -
Good evening
Not too bad today. Went to the park after school to burn off some energy (the kids', not mine!) Dolly box all sorted, and dolls cleaned. lots of grubby dolls clothes in the wash. I think i will take of the cushion covers and put them all in together. No breadsticks in there, and only one cheerio. i was hoping to find a missing puzzle piece, but it wasn't there
All toys picked up, LR/DR & hallway hoovered. i was about to take the dog out, but it chucked it down, so it looks like he is missing out againi will take him for an extra long one tomorrow, promise
I hope Dot is ok. I assume by the lack of posts that Pigpen ended up going anyway
Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them0 -
Hi everyone, I've had quite a lazy 'flying' day, although I have been flying about!
Usual round of cat's dishes, feeding of wild birds and breakfast first thing, then a quick flit round of tidying kitchen, then bathroom after shower, put WM on, then out to vets with cat, OH brought him back while I went to docs, lunch with friend, then food shopping and last pressies for OH's birthday.
Back now, TD whirring, whilst having cuppa, then just a mixed grill tonight to use up bits that are coming to expiry date, plus some new veg sausage that sound tasty (from what is says on the label).
I intend to tidy through tomorrow, get OH to hoover, then do any ironing. Also going to do a short visit and small shop for my sick friend, then OH and I are going to buy a super futon we've seen in the R@nge, just right for the spare room - we nearly got it a few weeks ago, didn't, and now there is £100 off! Hurrah!!
Good vibes to everyone and I hope all the poorly folk and children are soon better. X0 -
Just a quick update of my lists - see how much is left to do at the weekend. Have done quite a bit since getting home. Ordered takeaway pizza for tea and let kids watch TV (again! - feeling a bit bad about leaving them to it while I get on with housework but it should mean I don't have too much left to do at the weekend so we can spend some quality time together as a family).

I WANT TO GO HOOOOOME!! *WWAAAIIIILLLL*
Dot has been ok most of the day but is bad again tonight and has sicked most of her dinner.. Squeak refused to eat any dinner so ended up with a couple of bananas and a bowl of ready brek! She was funny though.. his mother put on classical music and Squeak came in the room and sneered in the direction of the radio and said 'What's that noise?'.. She proceeded to complain about the noise until they turned it off lol.. that's my girl! She said the dinner his mother had cooked was YAK! and refused to eat it (I thought it was lasagne but Squeak knows best lol)LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thank you Rowantree, she was abandoned by owners who moved and left her, we never knew this until later on but by that time she had 'adopted' us and she had a bad skin condition, she went to the vet regularly and had a great life with us, she was 4.5 when we got her and she was almost 18.5 when she left us and I still got to put bits of chicken, meat etc out for her out of habit, I have her picture by my bedside of her in better days, no cat can replace any of the cats I have lost they have all been special but hopefully the new one can fill a void x I am allergic to animals but miss not having a wee pet about.
I am blitzing my bedroom, the ensuite and the bathroom until 8.30 when I need to get ds up to get ready for swimming lesson, have a nice day all, will check back later x:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T
