Ames, I think you said some stuff in relation to the inheritance which indicated potential 'deprivation of assets' problems, also you mentioned here that you can't drive too far because of the cost of petrol. So I think it's more a case of drawing things together than someone stalking you.

But I could be wrong ...

No, they shut at midnight, earlier out of term time. Good idea though!

Leeds met library is open 24/7, there is also a vending machine you can get tea/coffee from in the same building (but you have to go to towards the lecture theatres to find them)

Both St james and the LGI have the seating for the cafe's open 24/7 you can only get vending machine drinks after 8pmish though. I think somewhere like that will be safer for you than a cafe because there's security about if you should need them x

Thanks guys, I'm being a bit paranoid at the moment.

I guess I've let the cat out of the bag now so I might as well explain (but PLEASE no judgement or 'I told you so').

I had my DLA renewal and went from higher rate of both, to lower rate mobility and no care at all.

I was half expecting the mobility, but the care part was a huge shock. Most importantly, I can't pay for care anymore.

My flat's a disgusting tip, the week after I got the decision a cleaning firm was due to come in and get it all sorted - I had to cancel because I can't afford £250 anymore, or for a cleaner to come every week to keep up to it. That's why I can't be in the flat, apart from the fact it gets me down seeing all the mess, it's a reminder of what's happened because it should be clean and organised for me.

I can't listen to music now, because it reminds me that I should have been going to a music festival, but now I don't qualify for a carer I can't go.

I could go on. Basically, none of my coping mechanisms or care costs are possible now. I don't think there's anything I do now that doesn't in some way remind me of things I need but can't afford (before anyone says anything, I'm not saying a music festival is a need).
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Are there any motorway services within easy reach? They are open 24hrs and usually have at least one outlet that sells coffee - they are really interesting places to just sit in and 'people watch'. Every night is different...

Or, are there any charities near you that need overnight volunteers? Handing out flip flops to girls too stupid to wear sensible shoes and space blankets to the ones that go out in a strappy top and then wonder why their teeth are chattering at 3am? Can't remember what they're called but they are sort of good samaritans. Homeless charities also sometimes do the rounds late at night... they might welcome some help.

Hope you get a comfie night soon...

I'm a student at Leeds University so I don't think I can use the library at the Met?

That sounds fab. And makes me angry that when I was begging to stay in St. James overnight because I didn't think I'd be safe at home, that wasn't mentioned.

I know how you feel on the mess, I imagine the more you look at it the more depressed you feel and the less motivation you have. Do you think your able to motivate yourself to do a little each day? Maybe start with one room and fill a carrier bag with rubbish. Then when it's all gone a little dusting/wiping down of surfaces or putting some clothes away?

If your appealing fingers crossed you'll be successful and be able to get the cleaners back in x

You can still use leeds met, they have a share scheme thing going on :)

The tables in St James are in the Gledhow wing. If you go down the corridor to left of the lifts you will see food and drink vending machines. Carry on down that corridor and you will come to the tables :)
