    Thanks you all!!

He is a twonk! I'm thinking about sending all his mail to her marital home. Housing benefit want a forwarding address too. I'm sure that will go down well and burst a couple of bubbles lol

I know the street and postcode but not the number. Anyone know how to find it? I looked on 192.com but didn't show house number.

Try playing around with Royal mail site, also there's a site which tells you what your local area is like but I cannot remember the name of the site, i'm sure someone else will know what I mean...

What a fiend. How cowardly and thoughtless he is to email his partner two days after the fact to make his intentions known! I can only imagine what you thought had happened to him during that time.

Not having any children I wouldn't know the first thing about how difficult that situation must be for you right now.

I can only wish you all the best and sincerely hope that you can resolve all your difficulties in a way that brings the least upheaval to your family. As for him, I can only hope that he grows some sort of backbone and faces up to his responsibilities as a father.

Perhaps you could suggest that the next time he visits a doctor he could ask for a prescription for a backbone and a pair of testicles?

I love this quote thank you for making me laugh, maybe my ex could get a script too..;)

I'm fairly sure you can get the names and houses from the electoral role somehow.

I'm a Parish Clerk, and I have a copy for the village that tells me who lives where and the local District Council give it to me.

What a douche, I would have no qualms whatsoever in selling his stuff to provide for the children, if he can walk away and leave it its fair game as far as I'm concerned.
Not legally it would count as theft.

I really wouldn't the OP poster could end up creating more problems for herself which from the sound of it is not what she needs.

Apparently it takes 6 weeks to get over a relationship ending...

That depends on the relationship and how relieved you are to be out of it ;)

OP I am sorry for all you are coping with. Your husband seems to be showing his true colors and the reality isn't pretty is it. Sounds to me like in the long run you will be very much better off without him.

You come across as being very well organised and capable. Hopefully the adjustment to your tax credits claim will go through quickly. Have you been in touch with the council to adjust your payments to single adult occupier?

I hope your landlord will be receptive and helpful considering your current circumstances. Speaking with the CAB may be beneficial to you.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

1: sell all of his belongings that you don't have any use for. eBay or do a car boot
2: never take him back. ever. Nobody deserves to be treated in such a disgusting way, regardless of having kids together
3: call the landlord, explain you want to stay but the tenancy needs to be in your name only. He'll be fine asking as you keep up the rent payments
4: go to CAB or CCCS and get your benefits sorted. Get a claim for child maintenance on the go. Even if he's not working they are likely to take some of his dole money.
5: make life bloody difficult for him!!!! He deserves nothing less.

    Be strong!!!

He didn't even have the guts to tell you he was leaving, then he let you worry yourself sick for 2 days before he made contact. You don't want to take him back!

Do sell his clothes, I've returned many items without labels.

Good luck with your new life!

he's out of your life, let him fend for himself and you take care of yourself and the kids....

you might get some satisfaction in selling/destroying his possessions but i'd just bag them up and get all traces of him out of the house, his loss not yours, he chose to walk away so its only onward and upwards for you now....keep the faith, you seem a strong individual so don't let him break you!
