Now he would have been perfect as Gambit in the X Men (sorry showing my nerd side)
Speaking of X men (and i know it's not a book) i had a real problem with Anna Paquin as Rogue. Turned my favourite female superhero into a whiny teenager.0 -
I saw Emma Watson in HP and thought she was too pretty for the character. I was expecting someone more geeky looking.
But I saw the first film before reading the part of story where she gets her teeth shortened and becomes more attractive. At attractive as Emma Watson, I don't know, but I suppose it was plausible.
And the casting director and JKR would have known what they were aiming for.
But still felt wrong to me.0 -
Hi, thanks for this thread, I'm always looking for good books to read on the train, reckon I'll try out Jack Reacher.
Harlan Coben is often compared to Lee Child and I really like his books as well.
Would a book group/ club/ thread be allowed on this section of the forum? I'd really enjoy it if it was - always looking for new books to read and do enjoy talking about them.0 -
All of the Discword adaptions have been wrong for me including the cartoon versions and the live actors. All wrong. David Jason .......0

I'd join - I have a gazillion unread books on my Kindle (where I discovered the Reacher novels) and would love to know if the authors are to my taste. I'm a Stephen King fan.0 -

After reading the James Bonds books where he's always smooth; suave and good looking. I can't understand why they never chose me for the film.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
Daniel Defoe: 1725.
