OP you need to tell us if you're picking up with the wrong sort or women are just staying away completely.
  • You really have been away from a woman's influence, haven't you? Don't you realise that there are many, many different shades of "black"? And a black sock worn and washed twice in no way matches a black sock worn and washed ten times. Oh, no. You may not be able to spot the difference with your inferior male eyes, but get it wrong and you are constant source of veiled sniggers and embarrassed glances until you get it right.

I have noticed that they fade at a different rate but I doubt anyone else has. ;)

  • I am not looking for a husband but I am well up for a `friend with benefits`

    Sorry, it's 'wife or nothing'.

  • Women are weird!

You might say that.....I couldn't possibly comment.

As you think that you're generally all-round useless, why not try signing up for "Car Maintenance" classes. Apparently, they're full of women looking for a husband! :rotfl:

(And if all else fails, at least you'll be able to change your own spark plugs)

    Car maintenance class you say?

    hmmmmmmmm...........

  • Now I have to disagree with the above. If I have worked hard and saved via the tips on here plus the fact I am Scottish I don't want a man to be free and easy with money. I may be in the minority but if a bloke turned up with a voucher for a first date for a meal I would be impressed at his initiative.

But like a previous poster said us women we can be strange.

Funnily enough, I won a voucher for 'meal for 2' at a local pub in a raffle the other day.

  • So is that where the useless bit comes in? :rotfl::rotfl:

    Age range? (Yours, not hers.)
    Likes and dislikes?

*Rolls up sleeves and gets ready to help with the hunt*

    30-40 (mine and hers)

    gardening (allotment)
    outdoors
    nature
    exploring Scotland (or anywhere)
    eating outdoors (or indoors!)
    etc

I'd define the 'useless' bit, if its cooking thats forgiveable, if its tidying up... you can learn and if its anything else the woman will decide for herself. :o

Cooking and cleaning are definitely things I'm useless at. The other thing you may be referring to I don't consider a problem area. :o

These are the things i would look for in a new bloke :

Someone who...isn't smelly, doesn't smoke, likes to eat out occasionally, likes a drink (but not 15 pints a night and 20 on Sunday lunch) likes to go shopping, isn't obsessed with sport on TV, enjoys cooking, isn't afraid to take time off work to have a holiday every year, (my ex was a workaholic, the money and the Aston Martin were fab but after a while, it got boring) has the imagination to buy gifts without prompting, doesn't drop clothes on the floor waiting for the washing fairy to come along, enjoys gardening, doesn't eat with his mouth open, is moderately intelligent (Guardian reader rather then The Sun !)

Now i know that the man i'm looking for doesn't exist but i live in hope ! In the meantime, it's just me and my kids, who love me unconditionally, as i love them :)

    In order:

    I'm clean (just not tidy).
    I don't smoke.
Occassional drinker (not one for getting plastered)
The only shopping I like is the supermarket (IKEA is a torture chamber)
I do like sport (on or off tv) but it's not a priority
I'm not afraid of holidays or of not working!
I can buy (useless) gifts without prompting
I do drop clothes on the floor :)
    I like gardening
I don't eat with my mouth open
I'm moderately intelligent (don't read any newspaper regularly)
