    So we have moved!

In the end it all happened very quickly, exchanged last Tuesday and completed the day after. We're now in our forever home, we have a lot of work to do, but will do it slowly over time.

So now for the financials, our new mortgage is a frightening £225k, and the target is to get it below 210 by March when the deal on the first part comes to an end. Need to get to 60% LTV.

Got four days off, the sun is shining and time to get up and do some jobs.
    Start Date 16/09/2015
Original amount outstanding = 225,000 Current amount outstanding =199,812

Had a good four days off, got a few jobs done, sorted the washing line (and it's rained ever since), attached the shoe cupboard and sorted the cloakroom. Hung a few coat hooks, mowed the lawns etc. Had a barbecue which was good and squeezed in a day at Weston, which was our summer holiday this year.

Now got another 4 days off. Last day of school holidays today so having a fun day, all going swimming this morning, going for lunch, pitch and putt this afternoon hopefully.

Then tomorrow some more unpacking and a few more jobs. Don't have any broadband at the moment which is a bit of a pain. Then out tomorrow night for a few drinks for a friend's 40th.

Hmmmm feeling frustrated!!! I used to be able to get a daily updated view of my mortgage, but now since moving it only updates once a month. I rang the bank but they couldn't tell me why!

Transferred our home insurance when we moved - it was the cheapest way, but the renewal is up at the end of the month - £439, anyway a bit of quick hunting and got it for £142. Quite funny ringing my original provider, they didn't even bother trying to compete.

The road tax was up on the two cars, pity you can't shop around for that at least mine is only £30, which was paid for from a rebate on my cancelled v1rgin media. Have switched to BTee, will be paying £22 a month for TV, BB and Phone as opposed to about £50ish before.

Council tax has gone up though since the move.

Settling in nicely and have decided first big job is to get the outhouse converted into a utility, it's got power and waste, just need to get water to it, so need to dig a channel out.

Haven't made an OP yet, just trying to get a view of how we're doing financially after the move, but have some big decisions to make with an ISA that I have.

    Looking forward to the weekend.
