Pay day tomorrow and my wage slip shows I've had a pay rise, an extra £100 a month, which is what I'd expected, but nice to see it in black and white.

I'd already adjusted my standard OP up by £50, plus the £25 my mortgage was reduced by so tomorrow's OP will be the first one at £275 :) Plus gonna pay a cheeky £25 to take my total OPs up to £5k
    Start Date 16/09/2015
Original amount outstanding = 225,000 Current amount outstanding =199,812
    Original LTV = 64% Current LTV = 49%
Original Pay Off Date = Sep' 36 New Pay Off date = Sep' 36
    Original Dly Int = 17.17 New Dly Int = 17.17 Total OP = £1319.31

Great news for the pay rise and well done for the £5k:T

How is the selling going? Did you reduce or are you hanging fire for a bit?

    The positives....

Share dividends came in last Friday and going to OP £300 once it gets into my account.

    Blimey that's all the positives....

    Negatives

Still no viewings on our house, but we went to see a house today, liked it but there's little point in putting an offer in when we're not proceedable!!!

Went on a stag do on Saturday and although I enjoyed it, I spent too much money!!!

Just had to have new break pads on my car - more money spent.

Thanks for posting Fothers, LJ, FD and those who have thanked.

Well we did put an offer in on that house that we saw on Monday, but unsurprisingly one that was proceedable was accepted. It wasn't a farm house FD, but it was a house on a farm, a barn conversion, quite isolated but very nice and not a bad price really. A bit gutted to have missed out on that one, would have been a complete lifestyle change.

We've now seen one on a new build estate in a semi rural location that ticks the majority of the boxes and they do a part ex, which gets over the selling problem, won't be available until May though (which at least gives us ten months to save hard), will have to do a little more digging into that one. Probably causes some complication with schools as we have to start applying in Jan.

Regular mortgage payment has gone out and paid the £300 OP with the share dividend. Signature all updated!!!

Sounds interesting and it will give you more time to save.

Bad luck on the barn conversion. :(

About schools... ask your council what kind of evidence they would accept. Ours (IIRC) accepts evidence of exchange of contracts even if you haven't moved yet, but I don't know whether all councils are the same.

Hope you get a buyer soon. You were wondering if your agent had overpriced your house. Have you thought any more about that?
