sevenup, i'll remember that one
I invest in my work t-shirts and jumper tomorrow. Support staff and dinner nannies wear the same uniform as the children. I'm quite happy about it as it means no wondering what to wear, easy to keep up with the washing etc... just some days I need a bit wackiness in the way of tights or a colourful top. Small potatoes though
Also, nightmare. With all the rain recently my bag is beginning to smell... fishyIt's a disgusting smell that no matter how long it sits on the radiator or feels dry the smell just will not go away.
I'm afraid this in one thing that I can't make do or mend.
I think I need a PVC bag.0 -

not nice. hope you'll be treated for it and are able to manage it effectively x
Posession. Faffy is definitely a wordand :j woohoo
fantastic news x
I've been super organised the last couple of days, having all butties made and unoforms ironed etc. the night before, and last night i got tonights tea in the sc ready to just switch on this morning.
the house smelt lovely when we got home from school/work. gave it a quick stir, shoved it in a flask and took it with us to the lotty. got another raised bed built, dug up a huge amount of couch grass roots added 2 barrows full of compost (HM) and got 50 onions planted. put the shallots in on sunday. just got 50 more onions and the broad beans to go in, and to find some garlic, then i can cover the rest til spring.
the girls had a competition to see who could dig up the longest root while i got busy with my hammer and nails. i love to see the looks of disapproval on the old fellas faces when they see me working. many a time i've been asked why my husband isn't doing it for me
(it's not his hobby, it's mine, and he would only do it wrong)

I'm waiting for more blood tests prior to starting new meds - DMARDs which they are hoping will slow down progress and alleviate some of the fatigue. I've had osteo-arthritis for a couple of years, which includes slipped discs in my spine, and have been shattered for about 6 months now - i'm hoping the new drugs will give me the energy to get back to exercising properly which will help. I've left it late really as I didn't think it would be anything more than osteo, so it's quite widespread already. Feeling a little more positive now the shock is over![/QUOTE]
not sure this will help but The Food Hospital (channel 4) did an episode on this.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Could I just announce that my slow cooker dinner was absolutely disgusting? If you are ever tempted to add cream cheese, carrots, potato and chicken stock to value pork chops, please don't, please just walk away from the slow cooker......
Good job I had the glass of wine really to take the taste away.0 -
thanks for the support guys I appreciate it.
Fuddle yes it is linked to psoriasis - less than 10% of those with psoriasis will develop arthritis though so please don't worry about it - I didn't mean to alarm.
It does seem a little unfair to have two types - story of my life though, if I can do things the hard way I will
Thanks for the food link - will check that out.0 -

WCS don't worry, you didn't alarm me. Don't you worry about that.
It is unfair. So much unfairness around. Right now I feel the need for a quote for strong women who cope with their lot... I just can't find one0 -
This a great link on how to make veg and fruit etc last longer

Thank you for that limk, such information means a lot when single and you need to make food last longer.Having a can't be bothered day today..some days you just don't want to do it all do you?? Or is it just me
Good news is I did loads yesterday so hopefully no-one will notice!
Hope all are well XXX
I have loads of those kind of days, I don't mind if I make the decisions rather than feeling that way and it is not my choice.lilmisskitkat wrote: »Hi all
I know quite a few of you have chronic conditions, some of you with Fibromyalgia like me and i'm wondering how you cope with it?
How do others manage the OS life with chronic conditions? I feel a total failure

I guess you work your way around your own problems but the trouble starts when you have to convince the DWP or those companies that do assessments...but don't feel that you are a failure besides you did not ask to have what you have nor the effects it causes."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Possession, great news! I am so pleased for your OH and you.
WCS, I hope you can find some medication to help. Is there nothing herbal that you can take as well? You need a holiday floating in the Dead Sea, sunshine to heal the psoriasis and warm salt water to ease your joints. I wish I could win a fortune on the lottery - I would pay for you to go there on holiday.
Nothing much to report here. Managed without the heating last night but tonight I'm feeling a bit chilly. Going to wrap a blanket around my legs in a minute. From Thursday night onwards the weather is apparently going to go down to freezing so I guess that will be the end of the only having the heating on for an hour here and there! Oh well, it will be nearly November so it's only to be expected. I'll have to get the thermals out. Trouble is, I have to beat admirers off with a stick when I wear me thermal long johns ... somehow they can tell I'm wearing them .... it's the way they sag around me bum and wrinkle round the ankles .... drives my admirers insane with lust ..... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Aspire not to have more but to be more.
