Family aren't gifting us Christmas presents this year but pennies... we have £90 in the virtual bank before we even begin. I've been ebaying so hopefully can add to that in the next few days.
Thank you for giving me permission to use my stock pile. No, seriously it helps. It will be ran down to the core. Every time I use up the last item I will write down as it was a difficult job working out what I use regularly. I like the idea of putting money aside so I can rebuild it back up when we move. I'll dig out my prepay card
Not thinking any further ahead other than a major 'spring' clean. This is going to be really therapeutic I feel
Sorted out Alfie's cupboard. He has a lot of blankets and towels that he doesn't really use anymore so going to drop them off at DogsTrust at the weekend as they always need them.
Edit: I have applied to my council now. I've mentioned the mould, that we're BR, that we have been given notice to quit but not section 21 as yet and that I'm receiving treatment for anxiety/panic attacks and depression.0 -
Fuddle running the stores down is cost effective and sensible - every item you move with costs you money in removal costs.
Dinner all done and finished, DS14 friend refused to eat:mad: even though they skipped breakfast - not hungry:mad: was collected at three though so I have been able to sit down for a bit while DD watched the littlies, gave up trying to sleep as squabbles were too loud but at least I have been able just to sit. This stupid virus hasnt shifted so my throat still feels like sand paper and my chest is really sore too. DS8 is still complaining if it too so I know it obviously takes its time to go.
DS14 seems happier having spent time with his friend which makes it worthwhile.
Vjsmum - its really sunny here today after a foggy start which helps I am sure, but I know once we get to the dark wet days its gets to many people. Will you be getting time off this week for half term?0 -

I have just contacted a LL via gumtree. There is a house on there that is in the middle of the council estate in my village. They don't require a bond though so maybe jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire? Can but see.
I'm not supposed to be dealing with this but I can't just switch off. I was the same the last time round.0 -

No - don't tend to get them at Uni and I have used up leave to go to Korea. I really have nothing to complain about - but it doesn't work like that, does it?
Also, I don't let up on myself. Even sitting here for a few minutes, I feel guilty as the kitchen looks like a bomb site and the kids bathroom is shocking  I don't tend to relax much at all - just steal a bit of time here and there. The last time I read a book was over a year agoHowever, I have made tonights tea (cottage pie) and tomorrow's (winter veg casserole) 2 loaves of banana bread and a batch of banana muffins (I have rather a lot of bananas!), done 2 loads of washing including stripping kids beds, and am about to properly clean the kitchen while finishing tea. So why do I feel guilty?
Ach - honestly compared to some of yous guys I have it easy so I will make like a pair of curtains and pull myself together.:DI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Oh my goodness I'm so excited! OH is out and I have to tell someone, and nobody else will understand like you folks.......
I've made pasties!! For years I've always been awful at making pastry but I've recently been given a Kenwood Chef and this weekend I've been experimenting. For the first time ever I've managed to make pastry that I could roll out (ok my circles were a little geometrically challenged!) I've put some chickpea and potato filling in the middle and they are almost ready to take out of the oven. One has cracked, but the others look pretty good!
Sorry for crashing in like this, but I'm so happy:T0 -
