OH has arrived home from work with a huge sack of chicken breast, a huge bag of sausage meat and the news that he may be out of a job!

Apparently they are struggling at the moment and are telling people to take holidays as they have no work. They are also saying that they will be sending people home with no pay if this continues.
Surprisingly my first worry was how I would cope with him here all day :)
I am sure there are many other things I should worry about but I will do that tomorrow.

Obviously the 20kg of chicken was a worry too and the sausagemeat a real stunner - what on earth will I use sausagemeat for (other than sausages obviously). Thankfully having bagged the chicken into half kilo bags - imagine a dining table covered in bags of chicken and cats and dog all wrestling to get in and you have a fair picture of my nightmare, I packed some into our freezers and one bag to fridge, the rest has been rehomed into my parents chest freezer.

I did tell my mum she could help herself to bags but its diced and she prefers whole - its good for casseroles though mum I said, she says oh no I buy while and cut it, its much nicer!!:rotfl::rotfl:

At £4 for 10kg its nice enough for me. Apparently we are getting 10kg of pasta for £2 tomorrow, now if only he could get cereal that would be good. :)

PAH makes a really good point have you declared your depression on your housing forms? Years ago when DS14 was a baby we were evicted from our home (LL sold it and needed us gone) and when we applied for council housing my health visitor found out and offered a statement that I had PND which apparently gave us loads more points, we found somewhere ourselves before we were offered as we were too young and inexperienced to realise he couldnt force us to move on the day he said.

Fuddle...can just offer you a virtual hug and lots of positive vibes....please don't get that credit card, take the advice of those who know what they are talking about and make every effort to get your council to rehome you...know nothing about the laws which may apply to you, but do not budge from where you are until you are pushed out. Much love,

Big hugs fuddle - hope you ok. There's been masses of good advice on here so won't repeat it all again, I'll just hope that his next tenants (when the time comes and you are happily rehoused) are absolute ******** (wotsits - insert less PC word as applicable) as he certainly deserves it!

Catching up on everyone's doings in the hotel after the most amazing day - we've met some families and kids with the same condition as ours at our funday and we've done some cracking things today - from sandpits and rockpools to making a 'sea in a bottle' rounding off the day with some yummy fish and chips which DS got part the way through then went to sleep in!!!! So good to put faces to names on our FB group and also to meet so slightly older kids who are where DD may be in 18 months/2 years time and DS a couple of years further on - funny to see some of the real quirky similarities - and amazing to meet some other parents dealing with what we deal with, many of whom have had the diagnosis longer than we have. Could get quite emotional about the whole thing if our leading lady (the wonderful woman who drives our tiny charity) hadn't stuffed us all so full of food that we spent half the day too full to cry! From full English in the hotel to sandwiches, soup, quiche and sausage roll for lunch - oh and cupcakes - to ice cream floats mid afternoon followed up by fish and chips for early tea! I just hope my wedding dress still fits!

Hugs kidcat too - hope it comes right - as for sausage meat you can mix with breadcrumbs to make sausagemeat burgers and with stuffing mix (made up) and then wrap in pastry for a sausage plait and that's just off the top of my head - oh and made into tiny meatball in a pasta sauce.

Hope this makes sense - if not blame it on the pinot grigio - we stopped off at Mr T's on the way back from the funday to the hotel today!

(((hugs))) for you too kidcat. You could make meatballs with the sausage meat and serve with spaghetti sauce. Also lay a "sausage" down the length of a piece of pastry top with baked beans, wrap and bake.
