Hey, I've just found two of those Christmas cake mixes that I bought for £2. I'd put them in the plastic lidded tubs and then completely forgotten about them. Is it time to make them now?

And you are still not forgiven for the sweetie link when I've turned into a porker and have to diet.

Well I usually make my xmas cakes about now but these ones don't have to be 'fed' as the fruit is already soaked - presuming that still counts when the mix went out of date in February! - so I could make it a bit later I guess.
    Be strong. Don't make sweets.

VJ's mum you're wasted on here, LOL!

Fuddle I only pinned the Rustic Twice-Baked Potato Casserole this afternoon and already it has been repinned a lot. Might have to make that one sooner rather than later.

ETA: ???? I have no idea how that sentence became a link.
However JKJ if you click on that it will take you to an item on my boards and you are very welcome to repin anything you like the look of. Pinterest is all about sharing.

Imagine little old lady, bent double, has trouble walking/moving, sits most of the day once there and had a stroke.........thats my mum, only she had the stroke 2 years ago at 67!

Anyway, she needs some new warm trousers for winter.
She has tracksuit bottoms which are comfy but she wants something a bit smarted, feels she is too old for them and doesn't like to look scruffy. Needs elasticated waist due to limited hand movements.

Where do I go to buy them?

Would rather a shop as she may not be up to trying them on when I visit and I only go every 2 weeks as she lives 80 mls away and it costs me £35 in petrol. So if they arrived just after a visit, allowing for the next visit and having to leave them with her for 2 weeks it could be too late to return them if they didn't fit.

Annie - M&S classic? BHS classic? Bon Marche

My mum was a tiny wee thing but a total of 50+ lb of baby (not all at once! Tho one did try - he was 12lb!) gave her rather a flabby tummy and her arthritis meant she couldn't be doing with zips and fastenings so she wore elasticated waste trousers and I know I got her some from these places. Was a couple of years ago though :(
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Thanks VJM Croydon has 2 out of 3 so will try there this week.

EDIT: Just looked at M&S classic, spot on, just what she wants thank you so much. I did have a look in there a few weeks ago but just realise I was looking at per una range!

I wear strappy tops in summer for outerwear and in winter for underwear. Plenty of use out of them that way. I buy the long ones and tuck them into my tights if it is remotely chilly. Shirt and jumpers over the top and bingo warm I am.
I also have fleecy tights and leggings for under trousers plus double lay socks of the fleecy variety for my toes.
I also have a pair of zip on zip off quilted trousers for dog walking or outdoor work.

How about Edinburgh W00len Mill, get them delivered to her house just before you visit and if they don't fit you can then send back
Same with any online retailer if you order for delivery just before you go there might help with the timings issue?
