hoping to make some halloween fancy dress outfits, draught excluders, and to line the front room curtains, oh and there's some lovely tweed type fabric that would make a gorgeous skirt to go with knee high boots and thick woolly tights
DS is as bad as his dad - we had some concerns about his vision but were strangely reassured when we were at Centre Parcs back in March and it was really obvious that he was taking way too much notice of the young teenage girls in bikinis in the swimming pool!!! OH noticed he was really fixed and interested in something, followed his line of vision and then had to look away really quickly!
Monnagran - I feel for your DIL2B, I had 2 of them (lazy babies) DD was 30 hours and she still came out of the sunroof and DS was a very long 14 hours and venteuse cap as he was being reluctant at the last minute. (Sorry if TMI!!)
GQ - fab news about your mum.
Pooky - hugs and hope your feline friend is home soon.
Treated myself to wine o'clock tonight - had a little glass to treat myself for totally bottoming the living room. My mum is coming tomorrow and DD is very much looking forward to going to 'talia' (the Italian) for lunch which is my mum's traditional treat - we also need to sort out the food for the meal after we get married as we are going there. At least we don't have to get up as early for that as we do for nursery - neither me nor the kids enjoy the alarm going off - we are a household of teenagers - lol, DS likes to wake up for some milk and a nuggle between 5 and 6 but he's always more than happy to go back to sleep, and DD has been known to pull the duvet back up and say "no mummy, sleeping!" (she's all of 3 1/2)0 -

back in work tomorrow, but i dont feel like it. when i phoned in today the boss said i thought you were only having a biopsy, stop being a mard-!!!!. she really doesn't inspire staff loyalty:mad:[/QUOTE]
just to reassure you, it's perfectly normal to feel rubbish for ages after a biopsy. If she doesn't believe you, she can try it. My boss is a man so wary of asking questions, and just tells me not to overdo things :cool:0 -

I'm a touch achy right now (I wince each time I move), but the charity shop is all painted so that's nice. There's still a bit of shop fitting to be done by the gentlemen volunteering, but when I go back on Tuesday it should be clean work from there on. I look forward to that change of pace (as does my body!).
Dad's still in hospital. The consultant sees him each day, makes various checks and !!!!!!s off without saying much. Mum isn't sleeping much, but it doesn't seem like I need to get on a flight quick, which is a bit of a relief.
*hugs* to The Cake.
I have no idea what dinner is yet, but would like to be wheeled gently towards the kitchen....Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

Good morning.
I'm making dog biscuits today along with more of softstuff's (so pleased you're back) carrot muffins for DD's birthday nibbles. I have to go into town first for some 'girl's sleep-over supplies' Which consists of chocolate so they can melt it to make their own moulded chocolates. Ingredients to make their own midnight feast. Some sweets so they can decorate DD's birthday cake themselves together (I thought it may be cheaper than buying a ready made cake but I'm not so sure!)
Off to the library later to pick up my Hovel in the Hills reservation and see what books they have on soups.
Doing alright without my tea. It's a bit rough first thing in the morning but I'm partial to spiced apple and camomile at the moment. Herbal teas are expensive though!0 -
I've seen quite a few of those trollies with retractable handles at the airport.
